As a side note, before posting this article and link, I searched to see if it had already been posted. A search with "title:red meat" brought up a number of threads in which the original poster was not exactly of the same mind on the subject as the study their linked article touted that indicated you will die AND destroy the planet by continuing to eat the food known as "red meat". My advice is to eat more red meat and........bacon.
I prefer my meat well done, it’s more flavorful to me!

This is like the “eggs are bad for you” line people still believe.
Animals like us have been eating meat and eggs for hundreds of millions of years.
Then shazam! They’re not healthy.
If red meat was so bad for us the cave men/women would have died out & there’d be no vegans to complain that red meat is bad for you.
Humans evolved as omnivores. Which means eating both meat and plants. Genes evolved over millions of years are best guide to staying healthy.
So do not eat frequently during the day. Eat variety of foods in small quantities but it is okay to enjoy a feast once in a while. Most of all walk a few miles every day.
That has been the living habits of humans since Lucy came down the tree in Olduvai gorge in Africa. Lots of walking to forage for food. No refrigerator to eat often. But when a animal was hunted down, it was gorging on food on that day.
Modern humans have so much better sanitary conditions, shelter from elements and anti-biotics and vaccines to avoid death our ancestors did not have.
My ancestors have been eating meat thousands or times longer than the time the “scientists” have been around.
You can eat charcoal directly if you like that flavor more :-)
After seven decades, battling off stomach cancer, etc. etc. and losing 80 pounds, I have some new thoughts.
We have had an era of great abundance in the last 100 years. We are able to eat too much and eating gives off an almost drug high reaction. We don’t have the manual labor of just a generation ago, so abundant food without vigorous exercise leads to overweight.
Skinny people live longer.
East moderate amounts. Limit protein to portions no bigger than a deck of cards. Have a varied diet without a lot of over processed items. Avoid filling up on carbs. Don’t be afraid to fast.
The West was not won on salad.

I have always known this was just BS environmental crap combined with PETA crap.
Plus I also have my own theory that men and women need different diets. And that men need more meat than women, which is the basis of the never-ending fight of women to get men to “eat your vegies”!
New York strip, cook over red hots coals and char and seal the outside. The middle will be hot but bloody. It is delicious.
This carnivore did not claw his way to the top of the food chain to TOFU!
