‘Treason’: Trump Sounds Off After Durham Report Reveals FBI Malfeasance
Breitbart ^ | 15 May 2023 | PAUL BOIS

Former President Donald Trump sounded off on Monday in response to the long-awaited report from Special Counsel John Durham showing that the FBI should have never launched its investigation into the 2016 Trump presidential campaign.

In a series of posts on the former president’s Truth Social account Monday, Trump called the actions of certain FBI agents as being tantamount to “treason” and how a “great fraud” had been pushed on the American people.

“After extensive research, Special Counsel John Durham concludes the FBI never should have launched the Trump-Russia Probe! In other words, the American Public was scammed, just as it is being scammed right now by those who don’t want to see GREATNESS for AMERICA!” he wrote

“The Durham Report spells out in great detail the Democrat Hoax that was perpetrated upon me and the American people. This is 2020 Presidential Election Fraud, just like ‘stuffing’ the ballot boxes, only more so. This totally illegal act had a huge impact on the Election. With an honest Media, we are looking at the Crime of the Century!” he later added.

In subsequent posts, the former president expressed gratitude for firing former FBI Director James Comey and called upon Congress to enact measures to ensure it never happens again.

As Breitbart News reported, Durham concluded in the 300-page report that the FBI should never have investigated Trump for Russian collusion, arguing that they did not apply objective, rigorous standards that were already in place.

“Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report,” the report said.

Durham said the FBI and Justice Department had acted without “appropriate objectivity or restraint in pursuing allegations of collusion or conspiracy between a U.S. political campaign and a foreign power.”

“The speed and manner in which the FBI opened and investigated Crossfire Hurricane during the presidential election season based on raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence also reflected a noticeable departure from how it approached prior matters involving possible attempted foreign election interference plans aimed at the Clinton campaign,” the report said.

It’s not treason, but it is corruption to the nth degree. Might even be considered sedition, but not treason.

I think DJT devalues his valid claims when he uses incorrect terminology for effect. Kind of like any action a white person takes is “racist . . .”

"the offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance or to kill or personally injure the sovereign or the sovereign's family"

I think that we can comfortably fit these actions within the above definition of treasson.

And l repeat: Oh yeah the FIB shook to it’s foundation after Durham’s stern letter. They are laughing their asses off. They will probably put it on the white board just for laughs while they are planning their next White Supremacist event

A poorly paid traffic court public defender could successfully argue the case for treason.

It certainly would be good in these United States if we had a court that could review all of this evidence and conclude whether the 2016 and 2020 elections were legal and proper! Does anybody have an idea what we could name such a court? A court that could act as the Supreme law of the land??? Or do we just have to rely on a bunch of braggs?

Durham does provide enough information so that Trump, should he choose, could bring charges of criminal liability against Strzuk, McCabe and Brennan in a civil suit.

They are trying to break Trump financially by keeping him perpetually tied up in court and paying lawyers.
Once he’s broke, he can’t fight back.

He needs to sue and regain what they took from him.

They did the same to the Gèneral. That man lost his home and life savings.

That is the power Government uses against people. They could care less about winning or loosing as long as we are defunded. THAT needs to change.

Unfortunately we hear way too much about what should be done without action to back up those words.

WRONG.

This is TEXTBOOK treason. Team Comey sought to TOPPLE Trump's administration then successfully prevented that administration from continuing for another four years. The FIB is directly involved in election THEFT and REFUSES to take ANY action on reports of fraud committed by Soros/FIB/Zuckerberg RATS throughout the country.

Comey should be rotting in a federal penitentiary, or worse. That SMUG, lying RAT bastard should be SUFFERING big time.

Really, it’s worse than treason when a national agency does it. I’m amazed when Donald Trump is still willing to run for president. A lesser man might have written it off as a bad situation & not risk any further embarrassment. Those who were involved in this disgrace against Mr.Trump should lose their jobs & never again be allowed in the arena of public service before being sentenced & jailed in a manner appropriate to a conviction of treason. Hopefully, this might convince other purveyors of wrongdoing not to go down this route. If these criminals find it difficult to secure a job after serving time, they can consider themselves lucky that they weren’t hung.

It is textbook sedition & fraud but not treason. I refer you to the only textbook worth reading that defines treason against the US - The Constitution. Your personal definition doesn’t count! From the US Constitution, the text
“....
Section 3.
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason, but no attainder of treason shall work corruption of blood, or forfeiture except during the life of the person attainted.
....”

A plain exact reading of the text is how a conservative should understand this. Looking for “penumbras” of meaning in the text to twist it to your personal views is what a liberal\leftist does.

The Founding Fathers deliberately made a treason charge hard. They experienced and understood from their own recent history what damage could be done by allowing an easy treason charge. For the most part we followed Founding Fathers views, there are a few examples where we didn’t. When doing that it gave no justice and harmed our society.
