I’m not going to throw a ticker tape parade for someone doing the minimum their job requires. Almost any Republican would have nominated justices as or more conservative that the Kavanughs and Barretts Trump picked. GWB nominated justices about as or more conservative than Trump. Even guys like Romney and McCain would have. And its not like Trump rolled up his own sleeves and did the research and went to bat for his own handpicked candidate. He simply went with the candidate that was recommended to him by the Fed Society. If he actually put in the work to find a better candidate than was presented and expected I’d give him more credit. But I have higher standards for my President than to worship him just because he didn’t pick some leftwing crazy as a Republican. We’re in a sorry state if this is what counts as worthy of praise.

History does NOT support this assumption of yours AT ALL.
Trump was by-and-large a very good President. He made mistakes (surrounding himself with backstabber and, as a result screwed up the response to the Coronavirus attack). As a human being and citizen, I think DeSantis is a better person and about as good as a politician can be. NEVERTHELESS, I will vote for Trump in the primary (unless he keeps running his mouth being an ass) because I think he was cheated from his second term, will come back with blood in his eye with lessons learned, and with the help of Congress do the sweep needed on the bureaucratic federal government. Abortion was and should be a state issue like murder.
