CHEVY CHASE, Md. — As the group of about a dozen protesters rounded the corner and approached Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s house on a leafy suburban street, the two deputy U.S. marshals on guard watched unmoved from their perch in the driveway.
One whispered into his radio. The other took a sip from a coffee cup.
The protesters, who had gathered on the evening of May 4, walked past the house singing “I went down to the rich man’s house and took back what he stole from me.”
The deputy U.S. marshals watched but said nothing as the group passed. The protesters kept to the sidewalk and did not stop moving. After walking further down the street, they circled back, passed by Kavanaugh's house again, and then moved on to their next destination: the nearby home of Chief Justice John Roberts.
The relatively orderly scene, with no sign of any local police presence, is in stark contrast to the portrait painted by Republicans and conservative activists. They have called for protesters to be prosecuted under federal law ever since there were larger and angrier demonstrations outside Supreme Court justices' homes last year in the days after the bombshell ruling that ended the constitutional right to an abortion.
At the recent protest, the group followed the same drill outside Roberts' house, pacing back and forth in front of two deputy marshals standing sternly in the driveway. One house across the street displayed a gay pride flag.
“History will not be kind to your court, John Roberts,” one protester shouted.
After circling around a couple of times, the group headed back to base. Passing Kavanaugh’s house again, it appeared the deputies there had called in reinforcements. There were now four of them standing in front of the house.

Stolen elections have consequences. This is just one of them.
These are remnants of Schumers followers. Schumer threatened the SC judges, a violation of their civil rights, and these lemmings are doing Chuck’s bidding. I call it terrorism
“I went down to the rich man’s house and took back what he stole from me.”
Redefining ‘stole’. Pretty smart I must say.
Tawdry repackaging of 1960s hagiography.
it’s just a probe. Just gathering intel and lulling security to complacency.
I’d be more worried about the back and sides of the house. Visual fields and documenting times and travel patterns... who knows... maybe it’s just great Americans voicing their opinions and well within thier rights.
I just would NEVER do that to someone because it’s really a way of just hardening the opposition. Fear of retribution to the family of the justices....yeah that’s gonna convince them. Threaten to bankrupt them with endless law suits of fictionalized rapes/molestations/conflicts of interests... that’ll convince the judges to be liberals...
But blackmail is the best. Who knows what the dems/libs/deep state has on say... adoptions, investments, vacations to New Mexico, Ohio, Caribean etc...
So funny, until it’s not.
The so-called protestors behavior constitutes stalking and/or harassment under Maryland law.
But no charges.
Go figure.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday left in place policies in Chicago and Pennsylvania’s capital Harrisburg that place limits on anti-abortion activists gathered outside abortion clinics.
When you don’t work you have plenty of free time.
Idiots on parade.
Really? And what if Kavanaugh and his wife wanted to go out for an evening stroll in their neighborhood? Or walk next door to have a glass of wine with friends? What would happen if those Marshall’s were not there? Orderly scene? I doubt it.
If protestors did the same thing in front of a liberal justice’s house, they would be spirited away to prison for an indeterminant period with no hearing or trial.
So is the mob just a cover for certain justices being under house arrest...?
The left..including otherwise, moron pervert clown king bribeme ..knows they can crap on the USC because by the time it reaches the Supremes the damage has been done.
Attention seeking individuals live action role playing because their real life sucks.
Good point.
It looks like an insurrection by immature Tik Tokers to me. Where’s the face recognition equipment?
Sadly noone in authority has the guts to charge th3m with stalking and harassment.
I would think that bull horn volume is a physical assault, on the ears; can cause permanent damage.
