Don’t care as long as it is understandable and doesn’t give me an attitude...like “Real” order takers do.

While there may be a little bit of ‘the latest thing’ faddish tech-nerdishness about this, it is mostly a direct response to the idiotically high new minimum-wage laws.

Soon, they will replace most of the kitchen staff with robots. And they are working on self contained mechanical kiosks that will dispense your ‘fresh cooked’ bug-burgers with no humans involved, other than perhaps route drivers stocking the machines with the ingredients.

I don’t rush out to tell twitter, facebook, instagram, Tik Tok etc.what I had for lunch... I don’t much like Google knowing what I ordered or how I paid for it either.

Oddly written, but it sounds like they think it's better than a human, their best human. I suspect it is better than the window person taking orders and it will save on payroll. Besides, nobody wants these jobs anyway they tell us.

And given our current immigration fiasco, an AI will have the advantage of speaking any of the 100s of languages of the illegals.

The only $15/hour workers that the Dems care about anymore are the ones who work in the county vote tallying centers.

It’s the Law of Demand.

When price goes up, the quantity demanded goes down. In this case, the wage goes up and Wendy’s hires fewer people. Surprise, surprise.

If automation does not work, then they can increase the price of Wendy’s food. In that case, people will go to Wendy’s less often. Wendy’s could then reduce their hours of operation and/or close some franchises. Either way, employment goes down. The law of demand, once again.

Why are people always surprised to learn that prices matter? Prices are not arbitrary. You just can’t raise, or lower, prices without adverse consequences.

I will probably work out okay-something non-human and artificial to take orders for and dispense artificial unhealthy frankenfood-I doubt that anyone will notice the difference, since it is barely food in the strictest sense...

When robots and AI technology take away most jobs the displaced workers won’t have any money
to purchase the products their former employers are pushing with their technology.
