In a letter initiated by Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, he and 14 other Republican senators pressed the Biden administration to “finish the border wall” as the country expects a surge in migrants this week with the ending of a pandemic-era immigration policy.
“Terrorists, traffickers and other bad actors know about our country’s failure to secure the border and they continuously exploit those weaknesses. There is a glaringly simple solution right in front you: we must finish the border wall,” reads the letter, a copy of which was provided to the Deseret News.
The letter, sent Tuesday, was addressed to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who has come under fire by Republican lawmakers for his handling of the “crisis” at the southern border, brought on by a record number of migrant crossings.

The Deplorables want a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1986 ONE TIME amnesty. Since that amnesty was granted already, a second amnesty is off the table. What remains is the enforcement the Democrats have disallowed since then.

1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural citizen parents = nat born citizen);
5) end work visas;
6) 40-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund from tax on remittances. Use tax on remittances to replenish Social Security account.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls

- the documents of the federal government agents/employees

Consider that one of the very few powers that the states have actually expressly constitutional given the big bad feds to dictate federal domestic policy is to run the US Mail Service, most federal domestic spending programs based on stolen state powers and uniquely associated state revenues, such revenues stolen by means of unconstitutional federal taxes imo.

So the key question regarding our 17th Amendment power to vote for federal senators is this imo. How many corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties and trillion dollar omnibus spending bills does it take to run the peacetime postal service?
I say none, no political parties or omnibus spending bills needed to deliver the mail.
In other words, we wouldn't actually be giving up much with a repeal of 17th Amendment (17A) imo. The 16th Amendment (16A) can disappear too.
In fact, repealing 16&17A would effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government imo.
