The message: What this country needs is more racial discrimination. The only thing that really matters is skin color. Some skin color is good, and some color is bad. We need to make sure that the people with the bad skin color stay in their place and don’t get uppity.
Democrats have been selling this message for over 150 years. Lately it’s been modified slightly, but the central message is consistent.

Restraint is a good thing. Patton might have been right about Russia and MacArthur about China but the world dominance element would make it our turn at some point. Just because we’re hated so much doesn’t mean we should hate back. Eternal vigilance is in order with dovish ones having a seat at the table.
