Ex-Las Vegas Raiders player Henry Ruggs pleaded guilty Wednesday to driving his sports car drunk at speeds up to 156 mph on a city street before causing a fiery crash that killed a woman and her dog.
“Guilty,” said the former first-round NFL draft pick, 24, who will avoid trial and is expected to be sentenced Aug. 9 to three to 10 years in state prison under terms of his plea deal with prosecutors.
The minimum three-year sentence cannot be reduced by converting the year-and-a-half that he has spent on house arrest to time already served.

156 mph AND drunk. What could go wrong?
Deez boyz sho bin in da newz lots. Wat daze prob-rums is?
No biggie.
Ruggs being oppressed by this White woman and all.
Her parents brought her, here, in search of the American Dream and they were rewarded with the American nightmare.
So sad.
3 years for murder. Ain’t that swell. But if you are a cop who restrains a criminal black man who dies from fentanyl poisoning then you get life. Totally corrupt justice system. Don’t we live in a swell world.
If I were a relative of the young lady I’d be waiting for him to walk out of prison. We would spend some time in my shop with power tools, torches, etc.
TELL ME AGAIN-—IN VERY SMALL WORDS-—About WHITE PRIVILEGE.
If he’d played for the Los Angeles or Sacramento Kings, he could have been King Henry III.
Three years. Pfffffft. Should’ve been 30.
Good for him, pleading guilty and taking his punishment. How many others in the past have driven while drunk and exceeded the speed limit to a high extent? Hopefully he will have a “come to his senses” moment and turn over a new leaf.
