Why provide targets?? And I believe the tank was supposed to be symbolic of something...so not about their tank force.
The Tank is 83 years old...so 1940. Totally symbolic.
I must be the only person in the world who recognizes how ridiculous it is to draw such wide ranging conclusions based on parade composition.
IIRC The hapless Rooskie army took a few tanks off of their monuments and got them in running condition. Then sent them to the Ukraine fronts.

The lone tank is a warning to Ukraine, that Russia will throw everything into the fight - that Ukraine cannot sustain.

Note rhe flags flown on the tanks in both 22 and 23. In 23 it is clearly the old Stalinist hammer and sickle on a red field. While not fully visible, in 22 the flag was clearly red.
Regarding the drone exploding over the Kremlin dome a few days ago, one rumor said it concerned a dispute over which flag to fly over the dome. I imagine younger Russians don’t like the old USSR flag and would be more likely to use the modern drone to try to take it out.
Someone suggested the 2 men on the dome catwalks were official snipers. It is just as likely they were there to change the flag. They were NOT badly hurt by the explosion, and the dome was not structurally damaged. It was a SMALL explosion, probably not from Ukraine or the US.
