Donald Trump on Tuesday night described his conviction for sexual assault as a 'scam' and insisted he was denied a fair trial by a biased Manhattan jury and judge.
The 76-year-old was found guilty of sexually abusing journalist E. Jean Carroll in a New York City department store in the mid 1990s, and defaming her when he said she lied. He was acquitted of rape in the civil trial, but ordered to pay $5 million in damages.
Trump on Tuesday night published a series of three videos on his Truth Social network condemning the verdict and insisting he would appeal.
'The whole thing is a scam,' he said.
'And it's a shame, and it's a disgrace to our country.'

Trump repeated his previous claim that his trial was not fair, because it was held in his hometown of New York City, in the borough of Manhattan where he lived for almost all of his adult life.
Manhattan is a staunchly Democrat borough, and the former president is widely loathed in his hometown.

You are correct. The left is setting itself up for a series of defamation lawsuits that Trump will win in the millions each. Every time a talking head, aka The View, speaks of this, they will be served. It could be the biggest blunder the left has made.
Try to picture Donald Trump the workaholic dragging himself away from his desk to skulk through Bergdorffs busy woman’s lingerie dept undetected and assault a woman in a fitting room. Seriously? The whole world would have recognized him.

He didn’t even enter into testimony one single witness of which there are hundreds that would attest to to trumps character. He basically just looked at it as a joke and it is the case is so flimsy that if wasn’t Manhattan she would have been laughed out of court. From my understanding the judge only ruled against the Carrol team once in entire trial. I don’t blame him this case was a joke Tara Reade is literally wanting to testify under oath to congress that Joe Biden assaulted her. It’s a really easy world if you are a democrat
