I’m not opposed to this superintendent’s decision. However, many kids don’t have a home life most of us would consider normal. Woke counselors and social workers (and teachers) are not the answer. Suggestions?
Oh man. I read the article-long winded. It will be hard to go up against the left even in these 2-1 republican districts. Not renewing grants for counselors is a show-stopper? Gimme a break. I never spoke to my counselors from grade 6-12.
School choice was the answer for one parent who didn’t like the conservative school board. At least he had the choice.
The answer is 100% school choice/vouchers. Dig?
Someone needs to email the author of this article and tell him it’s total bullshit.
Create a volunteer program with folks involved in a church or better yet with 12-step program involvement although 12-step programs don’t get into controversy.
Transformed by a worldview that sees schools as places for education.

The beauty of federalism is you can make changes at the local level.
I live in a Republican County that hasn’t voted for a Democrat for President since 1964.
However, “wokecrats” have been infiltrating the non partisan positions for years & developing a political reputations.
This has changed in the last year and a half.
A 4-3 school board is now 7-0 conservative.
Three recalls of conservative school board members and a county commissioner have been defeated.
A “hippie woke” mayor was defeated & three liberals lost city council positions.
Change is doable if you identify the liberal trouble makers & take the appropriate political action.
Not sure Trump had much to do with it. Here in PA it was a couple of moms. One who did major upset all over the state is a libertarian and not a trump supporter. She saw the school covid closing crap and changed it. Got responsible people to run for school boards and won about 100 candidates elected not just republicans. She had dems too. An other mom did the same thing.
