Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made his strongest allegations yet over the weekend about the 1963 assassination of his uncle, JFK, flat-out accusing the Central Intelligence Agency of being behind the world-altering murder. It’s not the first time he’s indicated this belief, but his comments are some of the most categorical statements he’s made on the subject.
On Sunday, he spoke on radio with host John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM’s “Cats Roundtable” and left no doubts about where he stands:
There is overwhelming evidence that the CIA was involved in his murder. I think it’s beyond a reasonable doubt at this point.
The evidence is overwhelming that the CIA was involved in the murder—and in the cover-up.
JFK was president on Nov. 22 1963 when he was fatally shot while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. The official position after the Warren Commission investigation has been that lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone and that there was no evidence of a broader conspiracy.
Many people were left unsatisfied by the explanation, and in the years since countless theories have been floated, books have been written, and movies have been made speculating on a variety of different possible plots by Russia, the Mafia, Cuba, and others.
RFK also accused the CIA of orchestrating the hit on Saturday
...
RFK suggests our own government did in his uncle because of his reluctance to go to war:
When my uncle was president, he was surrounded by a military-industrial complex and intelligence apparatus that was constantly trying to get him to go to war and in Laos, Viet Nam, etcetera. He refused.
He said that the job of the American president is to keep the nation out of the war. He refused to send combat troops.
He also said that one book in particular makes the best case for the argument:
People, you know who question that [the CIA was behind the assassination], I’ll tell you that, you know, a book that that probably distills the millions of documents of evidence, including confessions and people who were involved in the crime, and the six year cover up, the best kind of distillation, that is a book called “The Unspeakable” by Jim Douglass…
I’ve, of course, read probably 100 books on the subject, and I recommend that book is the best.
The 2010 book is fully titled “JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters,” and its publisher Simon Schuster describes it thusly on its website:
At the height of the Cold War, JFK risked committing the greatest crime in human history: starting a nuclear war. Horrified by the specter of nuclear annihilation, Kennedy gradually turned away from his long-held Cold Warrior beliefs and toward a policy of lasting peace. But to the military and intelligence agencies in the United States, who were committed to winning the Cold War at any cost, Kennedy’s change of heart was a direct threat to their power and influence. Once these dark “Unspeakable” forces recognized that Kennedy’s interests were in direct opposition to their own, they tagged him as a dangerous traitor, plotted his assassination, and orchestrated the subsequent cover-up.
...
Interest in the subject of the assassination was rekindled when the National Archives released thousands of documents in December that had been sealed for the six decades since JFK’s death.
Tucker Carlson, meanwhile—before his unceremonious departure from Fox News—reported that he was in contact with a source who had access to still-hidden documents that show CIA involvement in the murder.
Some paint RFK, Jr. as a wacko, and his own siblings distanced themselves from him because of his stance on vaccines. However, it’s also clear that he is smart and does his research.
One thing is clear: the official conclusion of the government that a lone gunman killed the president is still not believed by vast numbers of citizens.
Maybe before that? /shiny side out
The most powerful military industrial complex in the entire world 🌎🌍?
Powerful forces are going to want to control that
20 years ago I would have laughed off such a notion as tinfoil
After all of the COVID-19 lies, I don’t trust much of anything anymore
Well, except Pfizer.
Cuz they’re like totally honest and transparent.
JFK was fiscally conservative.
.
Oswald himself said he was a patsy. If he killed Kennedy, he would have very likely taken responsibility for it. Most assassins do. Then they allowed the assassin to be assassinated. All this reeks like a 3 day old homicide scene.
If Trump were to become President again, he should release everything.
With all of the events the past few years, I think it would take a LOT to shock us anymore.
“Declassify everything the feds have hidden for the last 175 years.”
Ok sounds good, but who, pray tell, will give the order, and, more importantly, who exactly, pray tell, would follow it or be allowed by the environment in which the documents exist, and the people who know what’s in them, if the documents even still exist, to spill the beans, or any beans? We know that at least some sensitive documents are still extant.
“The gullibility and lack of understanding on our side,”
It is difficult to not revert back to “normal”. On can’t quite grasp the unbelievable and what it means. It is like the Gell-Mann amnesia effect.
If you think about 9/11, it was a small price for government to pay to enable it to pass the “Patriot Act”.
Gerald Ford was on the Warren Commission, and so was Hale Boggs, who disappeared over Alaska and was never found.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Bush Senior was privy to what really happened…
I lived in Dallas when he was shot and was attending a sixth grade class at a local Elementary School. We had been to the little park that became known as the “Grassy Knoll” many times. No one even knew that the Texas School Book Fepository was there, although my mother passed by it every day going to and from work. I remember that day we’ll. It was a bright sunny day, and the air was clean from the rain we had the day before. We were excited that the President was coming to Dallas, and as you can imagine, the teachers had been pumping us up all week for Kennedy’s visit. He came on a Friday, so the buildup all week was tremendous. I will never forget that was eating lunch with my friends at the old roll up tables that they used to have in Elentary school lunches. We had fish that day (in honor of catholics I suppose), and our principal, James D. Nall, came over the loud speakers, just after lunch to tell us that the President had been shot. I recall that the network TV was saturated all day, and they announced that a suspect had been caught, right after a local policeman, J.D. Tippett, had been shot to death by the suspect at a local movie theater. My father knew Tippett well, as he used to stop in at his fire station for coffee. MyMother worked downtown and had to go by the crime scene on her way home. I worked overseas later in life and used to kid folks when asked about that day that I was the “shooter” on the grassy knoll. Of course, I was 12 at the time, so it wasn’t me. What a tragedy. I always believed it was a conspiracy.
The entire Bay of Pigs was a trainwreck. We could have ended Castro and Communism in the Western Hemisphere IF we'd wanted to.
I had not seen some of the material you just mentioned, but it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if it all were true; the Warren Commission Report was🐂💩.
I have thought that from the moment it first came out.
Junior is awfully close to the truth but it was LBJ who was the mastermind. The CIA simply played a supporting role.
JFK would have reelected in a landslide. Who was going to oppose him? Nixon? He was beloved by all but the war hawks, and there were not very many of those among the wee little people.
How DO YOU KNOW, he shot Tippet? Did JD tell on him?
.
The switchboard operators at the Dallas PD listened in a took notes. They were ordered to not connect the parties. Why would they do that, unless they didn’t want to know, what they never really asked. Was this a Conspiracy?
Outstanding analysis, thank you for it.
