No president should attend a coronation. Just because he’s Scottish, the U.S. doesn’t need to kneel.
I don’t think any US president has ever attended the coronation of an British King.
But if one did, there would be no requirement that he kneel for bow, or anything like that. Simply showing polite respect for our ally’s customs would be enough.
