Telling the truth about Trump is not “Trump bashing”. Those of you who support Pfizer and Disney, Trump is your man, he agrees with you.

The US Constitution does give states the right to make gold and silver coin legal tender for the payment of debts. Whether this is a practical remedy seems doubtful to me. https://www.mintstategold.com/investor-education/cat/news/post/states-where-gold-and-silver-have-become-legal-tender/

—> So to be a conservative, one is not permitted to work in the government. Right.

DeSantis has been dependent on a government paycheck his whole adult life, as near as I can tell.

Never created a job.
Never started a business.

Instead, Ron is a career politician only.
And was educated at liberal elite schools.

And has Bushie RINOs as close associates and friends.

I’m raising the question as to why.

And what kind of conservative that really translates into…

This wasn't a Trump bashing thread and he had nothing to do with the topic at hand, well not until you showed up.

The US Constitution does give states the right to make gold and silver coin legal tender for the payment of debts. Whether this is a practical remedy seems doubtful to me.

While that is a true enough statement, there isn't enough gold/silver available to replace all of the coin and paper in circulation from the feds. That circles back to my question. What is Florida or any other State going to do to stop this? Secession I suppose but that will be met with force of arms. Is Florida ready for that? Is Alabama? I see a future where the States all roll over. Most of the States want their fair share of unyielding power over US as well.

The kind that headed the Freedom Caucus.

The gold listed there adds up to a bit over 260 billion troy ounces. Sounds like a lot. I wonder how much is actually there?

Some doozies in the freedom caucus over the years.

Same freedom caucus that supported and voted for RINO Paul Ryan for Speaker…

Same RINO Paul Ryan that DeSanctus said he’d like to be someday

Same RINO Ryan supporting the DeSanctus run for potus.

so I guess you have answered what kind of conservative DeSanctus is after a lifetime cashing government paychecks.

Opportunistic.

Quit lying. After I left a message for my Rep (Desantis) to pleaaase not vote for Ryan, Ron called me back. We talked for a bit. He said Nobody else wants the position, as it is mostly raising money all over the country.

He said Ryan HATES the House Freedom Caucus, so much that they keep their member list secret. That he gives them the crappiest offices, and tells donors to not contribute to them. That he takes them off the choicest committees, and wants to kick some of them out of Congress.

He told me they didn’t have a choice. They decided to hold their noses and vote for him. There was no alternative. Don’t you remember that time? I sure do. Ryan was very reluctant to take the job, period. But he was the least-worst choice.

There is ZERO love lost between Ryan and Desantis. They despise each other.

I’ve met Ron a few times. He’s a Patriot, despises politicians, and wants to cut down the fedgov 3 letter agencies. I live here. You obviously don’t. And you don’t know what you’re talking about.

And yet the reports of Desantis saying he sees himself being like Paul Ryan some day...

And Ryan has encouraged him to run for President...

So your claim is unbelievable.

despises politicians

Hate to break it to you, but Ron has spent a huge portion of his life as a politician and seeking more political power. Near as I can tell, all his real jobs have government signed paychecks. All.

Again, your claim is unbelievable.

Good try.

“And yet the reports of Desantis saying he sees himself being like Paul Ryan some day...”

That was in his first year of elected office, 2012. He was green and was fooled. A lot of freepers were as well. Bit after that, when Ryan showed his true colors, the war was on. Ron told me over the phone they didn’t like each other, and Ryan was sabotaging the House Freedom Caucus—just like Boehner did before him.

“And Ryan has encouraged him to run for President...”

Because Ryan hates Trump even more. Duh.

“Hate to break it to you, but Ron has spent a huge portion of his life as a politician and seeking more political power. “

Hate to break it to you, but he’s been in elected office for 10 of his 45 years. That’s not a carrer. And he’s only run for 2 positions—US Representative, and Governor of Florida. He won both, because we here who voted him in know him.

gain, you don’t know what you’re talking about. As usual. But feel free to tell more lies. We’ve come to expect them from you.

‘Fess up: You’re Joy Reid, right?

Again good try.

Absolutely nothing wrong with favoring a different primary contender.

I think the more the merrier and a good fight makes a good general election contender.

But Ron keeps dropping in polling each week as people get to know him.

Still, I prefer a contested primary and it is extremely early.

I didn’t say anything about the primary. Heck, as of right now, Ron’s not even running, despite the nevertrumpers all out push.

As of now, I plan on re-registering as a Dem in time to vote for Kennedy. If enough of us donthat, Joe will lose his own primary. How sweet would that be?

Yeah, he’s too woke to consider in the election, but still better than Biden!

I also like Vivek.
