The Writers Guild of America tweeted Monday night that the board of directors "have voted unanimously to call a strike, effective 12:01 AM, Tuesday, May 2."...The strike means that production on some of your favorite broadcast shows, streaming series and potentially some films will effectively grind to a halt, upending the industry...Late-night talk shows are expected to go dark this week, for example, and NBC's "Saturday Night Live" could nix this weekend's episode.

When you figure there’s over 70 years of television production available for re-broadcast that’s an entire life of viewing without watching the same show twice.
No need for crappy totalitarian programs.
Seriously. Even kids’ YouTube creators’ content is a fast bombard of what to feel, how to think, how to respond. It’s simply mind-programming straight out of 1984. It’s not entertainment. No situations for the kid to sympathize with, no pause for reflection, no reward for critical thought. It’s mind-programming.
Make it permanent.
I’ll stick with reruns of Scarecrow & Mrs. King over the awful shows of today.
I cut the cord years ago. I’m guessing the quality of tv will increase now that the networks can resurrect old shows.
They’re going to be replaced by AI bots soon anyway.
Oh no, Hollywood will have to pump rerun sewage into American homes, instead of firehosing fresh sh*t onto its victims.
Right now I re-watching 1997's Ghost Stories. The All Night Diner episode (one of my favorites) is surprisingly "traditionalist conservative," though it's an old trope.
Lucky for us, our screen writer is already working on our screenplay outline.
This shouldn’t affect SNL. Jimmy Fallon or Seth Myers. They get their scripts from the DNC anyway.
A blessing late night tv and SNL
How did we ever survive the Covid year with ALL of Hollywood shut down?

“instead of firehosing fresh sh*t onto its victims.”
LOL...your response was perfect. Thank you!!
I wonder if anyone in Flyover Country will notice.
I am real sure most if not all Deplorables will not.
I’d rather watch “My Mother The Car” than any single thing for the last 10-20 years on broadcast television.
LOL.
Who’s gonna notice?
Is Dan Akroyd and Jane Curtain still on there? I haven't seen it in awhile.
“Pluto’s lineup of classics has been expanding.”
We watch the original Hawaii 5-O and Perry Mason there. Lotta cigarette smoking on Perry — a step back in time.
When I tune to Pluto, previews from their ‘Black Entertainment’ section play. As raunchy as I’ve ever seen.
You mean there are WRITERS in Hollywood? I thought they take an old TV show and reboot it with a black lesbian female, like they did for The Equalizer!! 🤓
One of the terms these idiot writers are demanding is not to be replaced by AI. Listen, writers, there are other jobs, if you are not happy, get another job.
