I think it would be good if society started thinking ahead and starting putting systems in place to try and deal with the coming changes.
Not for everyone, but I’d like to see a new Homestead Act that gets people off the grid, being somewhat self-sufficient. Partly so that the national economy doesn’t have to carry everyone, and partly so that people have something interesting to do with their time. But not everyone wants to raise chickens or grow vegetables.
But some thought should be given to a future where social and economic expectations may be radically different.
I wouldn’t mind that myself. Not a bad idea if done fairly. We would gradually go back to more local economy and local pricing.
