DeSantis says reports on campaign launch dates are ‘inaccurate’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said reports on his potential presidential campaign launch date are “inaccurate,” and no plans have been made for an announcement event.

“If there’s any announcements, those will come at the appropriate time. But if anyone’s telling you that somehow they know this or they know that, that’s just inaccurate because there’s not been any decisions made,” he said.

Beware of Youngkin. Youngkin has a VP picked out named Kelly Craft. She was Trumps second UN Ambassador after Nikki Haley. (She was incompetent). Craft is the wife of a billionaire coal industry guy from Kentucky who is best buddies with McConnell. Crafts husband gave a lit of money to Trump in 2016 securing his wife’s UN position. Crafts husband and McConnell (before he showed his backstabbing ways) got the votes for Trump to win KY in 2016. Craft has no political experience but was trying to run for governor (bought and paid for by her husband) when approached by Team Youngkin. Let’s just say she’s not the nicest person and certainly not worthy of being VP.

Will DeSantis toss his hat into the ring or not? Still an uncertainty at this point, although he has made some moves that could be construed as heading in that direction, including his current travel overseas, as well as a bill that just passed the Florida legislature that would remove the requirement to resign as governor before running for another office.

Of course, many governors do overseas junkets, and DeSantis has yet to sign the aforementioned bill into law, but that doesn't prevent his babbling detractors from acting as though it's all part of an evil, deep-state, neocon plan to hinder Donald Trump's shot at POTUS in 2024. Reality isn't a consideration with these sad, unfortunate folks.

As we saw here on FR years ago in the "Cruz vs. Trump wars", a fit of stupid, counterproductive squabbling that crippled this site's membership numbers ever since, we are again witnessing a mindless and destructive propensity to rail against good men simply because some folks here have lost all rationale.

The kind of rabid derangement that we often derided when we saw it rear its ugly head over at Democrat Underground has its kindred right here. We conservatives are supposed to do better. At present, we're not.

DeSantis has one of the toughest dilemmas in recent election history. Either sit back and let Trump likely lose and cast the party in disarray. Or get up and run for a bruising primary fight so he can try to do better in a general that would make 2020 look like a game of tag and he could still very well get smashed just like trump would and could also cast the party into disarray. I really don’t envy the pickle he’s in right now.
