I still remember the day 32 years ago I took my four year old daughter to her dance lessons and watched unwittingly out the window of the dance studio a scene unfold across the street in the parking lot.
I was on active duty at nearby Offutt AFB. A pick up truck with Iowa plates pulled up after coming across the Bellevue Bridge over the Missouri River. I saw a young teenaged woman sitting on the passenger side with her head in her hands. An older teenaged boy jumped out of the driver’s side of the truck, ran around to the passenger side, jerked the door open, and pulled the girl out of the truck sobbing her head off. He dragged, pulled, and pushed her down the sidewalk after slamming the door.
I did not understand and wondered about calling the police, but that was in the days before cell phones. One of the other parents witnessed the scene also and I asked if we should do something. She said probably just a teenager love spat. Best to ignore. I returned my attention to watching my daughter at her dancing lessons.
A half an hour later leaving the studio I noticed the truck was still there near my car in the parking lot. Getting into my car with my daughter, I started driving down the street and looked over at the building which I thought the teens had entered and saw the name on the door: Dr. Leroy F. Carhart, M.D. A chill of recognition ran through my blood which is still there to this day. I realized there was a child who had been killed and who would never learn to dance or laugh or play or love and be loved. I have heard all the pro-aborts lecture on having a choice, but I have often wondered how many other women were dragged into a clinic like that girl and how many other abortions did that evil man do on teens of questionable age.
Was Leroy Carhart beyond the mercy of Christ? I do not know, but if the hell created for the devil and his angels holds a place for human souls, and our Lord Jesus Christ taught that it does, then Leroy Carhart belongs there.

What a heart wrenching story. I’ve always said abortion is often perpetuated by MEN — selfish, careless, uncaring men who refuse to honor the woman and child in their greatest hour of need and who only see women as objects to fulfill their own needs. Not all — but too many.

“I’ve always said abortion is often perpetuated by MEN “

Yes. And many of the biggest fans of the feminist movement are men as well.

The bottom line is that both remove a great deal of responsibility from them.
