Although Tucker Carlson has made no public comments about being fired by Fox News as of Tuesday morning, a new report said he believes his ouster was part of a one-two punch hitting Fox News.
The host of the ratings juggernaut “Tucker Carlson Tonight” was abruptly axed Monday.
“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” Fox News said in a statement. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
According to Vanity Fair, Carlson has told people he believes his show was killed and he was fired because the Murdoch family plans to sell Fox News. The report cited sources it did not name.
Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch has made his son, Lachlan, the CEO of Fox Corp., the parent of Fox News.
Carlson was called Monday morning by Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott and told his show was being taken down and his Fox News email had been shut down, according to the report.
He told those around him that Scott did not explain the decision, telling him only that it was made “from above,” Vanity Fair reported.

That one is hard to figure. If Fox is for sale, and if Carlson would be a sale liability to a potential leftist buyer, all that buyer would have to do is can Carlson themselves.
Being for sale is not the reason. The reason is Deep State related.
Carlson made the mistake of discovering truth and sharing it with the public. In a communist environment that is high treason. He’s lucky he never accidentally fell from a 20 story window or committed suicide by shooting himself twice in the back of the head.
sorry but you none of us can no for sure on things like spy’s. I had a teacher that recruited for the cia at my university who would try to recuit from are class. There are two totally different ways of applying formally for the job one public where its not a secret that you work for the CIA. that’s what he was doing and then another for those that go into deep cover with intensive training he told us anyone interested in the deep cover stuff not to talk to him but to contact the agency.
There is also subcontractors who are people that never receive formal training but are in desirable positions that the CIA can take advantage of. During the 70s I had an uncle who was a subcontractor for the CIA. we only found out for sure by my dad when my dad mentioned at work that his crazy uncle claimed to be an agent....MY dad worked for a defense contractor at the time and was hauled into a room by the FBI and told to shut up because it turns out he was an asset that they used to pick up information when he traveled to communist countries... My dad talking about this crazy claim at work actually opened up an investigation. My dad was told that him and ny uncle talking about it like they were could get him killed or arrested if the wrong people found out.

If so, it would appear to have been a bad move. I read yesterday that the market capitalized value of Fox News had fallen about $900 million.

It does if you are looking a buyer like CNN, MSMBC, PBS etc. They have no use for people like TC who go off on their own.
I believe Murdoch does want to sell and Tucker, even as #1, had a hard time attracting woke corporate sponsors.

Nah…. The obvious is the answer. Tucker could not be reigned in. And the lawsuit settlement included fox firing Tucker.
Tucker Carlson has become his own brand. Truthfully he’s become too big for Fox Snooze. He woke up and figured out what’s going on. He’s said some things lately that surprised the heck out of me. This parting of the ways will be a good thing for Tucker.

Don’t worry, I don’t watch it. Got rid of cable 20 years ago, and have saved thousands of dollars and my sanity.
