I always told my kids that every time one of them got a spanking, I got a gray hair.
So there is someone out there whose job description is mouseplucker?
I like my salt&pepper hair. Well, what there is of it. Mostly bald now, whatever is left is salt&pepper.
Yes, this first then I’ll worry about the grey.
Mine didn’t recede, it seems to have sprinted. I embrace the the dome and the gray on the remaining. As I tell my son. Being bald doesn’t bother me at all. I’m not the one looking at it.
I believe it has a lot to do with genetics also. Both my mother and grandmother had brown/red hair and they both died without a gray hair on their heads. I have very little gray and they’re hard to see. I’m 68. I get asked all of the time where I get my hair done. I inherited the hair from my mom, my wrinkles from my dad.
Mine is the same. I’m originally a very light brown (some say strawberry blond), but my gray is a silvery white...lol My older sister is always wishing her gray looks like mine...
My 34 y.o. son had almost black hair but now he has silver white streaks in it. He wears it long and is always getting compliments on it.
Vanity: Pride is excessive belief in one’s own abilities, that interferes with the individual’s recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.
know who doesn’t have grey hair?
Ritchie Blackmore
he’s 78, and his hair is still dark ... is he using hair color?? or is it something else?
but gray is my favorite hair color
even as a small child I was in awe of silver manes
There is a direct correlation between grey hair and cataracts. Cataracts are caused by oxidation and bleaching.
Is this a bit like their other predictions as to things that will be no more in the next ten, fifteen or twenty years? Only to be proven wrong time and time again.
I’ll keep my gray hairs, thank you very much. I’ve earned every one of them.
Read later.
Oh now that’s just plain funny
“Gray hair is part of wisdom”
Yea, and that worries me, at 32 I had gray at my temples, at 66 it is the same, has hardly changed at all! Both older and younger brothers are totally white headed now.
I *earned* everyone of my silver hairs.
My wife had hair problems, soon after we married I convinced her to take B-12 liquid and use Coconut based shampoo. Her color went from very white and fine to a grayish blonde color. She had talked about coloring it, but she decided it was not worth the trouble. It looks nice and the texture of the hair is much better.
Her doctors blood tests had shown low B-12 and nothing seemed to correct that. (including tablet B-12 supplements) But the sublingual Liquid B-12 works much better and her tests showed it normal again. As you get older, the body has difficulty in making B-12 on it’s own.
I’ve read that the white color is from a peroxide that develops in the hair folicals
Any bets on how quickly babies are born with green, pink, purple and bright orange hair? Advances like this usually have unintended, Idiocracy-like consequences.
