Nashville Official Says School Shooter’s Manifesto Is ‘Astronomically Dangerous’
Epoch Times ^ | April 21, 2023 | Jack Phillips

Federal officials are delaying the release of a manifesto written by Audrey Hale, who killed six people in a Nashville Christian school, according to local officials, with one calling it “astronomically dangerous.”

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) told the New York Post this week that the FBI is currently behind the delay. He said that the documents should be made public for grieving family members and for members of Congress.

Hale, who was born female, used “he/him” pronouns, and police officials previously told a news conference she identified as transgender. Later, Nashville Police Chief John Drake said Hale suffered from mental health issues and was under the care of a doctor, while her parents did not know she had procured several firearms.

The shooter’s notes “could maybe tell us a little bit about what’s going on inside of her head,” Burchett told the newspaper. “I think that would answer a lot of questions.”

About 20 journals, five laptops, a suicide note, and other materials written by Hale were taken from the house where she lived with her parents, according to a search warrant in the case.

“What I was told is, her manifesto was a blueprint on total destruction, and it was so, so detailed at the level of what she had planned,” Metro Nashville Council Member Courtney Johnston told the NY Post, without elaborating. “That document in the wrong person’s hands would be astronomically dangerous,” she added.

Johnson claimed that the “the vast, overwhelming majority of it” would be too dangerous for the public to see. “I personally don’t want to know the depths to which her psychosis reached … When I’m told by an MNPD high-ranking official that it keeps him up at night, I’m going to defer to that person in that agency that I don’t need to read that,” she added.

The official did not elaborate on why the documents would be a danger to the public. Based on the interview, it’s not clear if Johnson was worried about detailed plans to attack other sites or was worried about Hale’s mental health issues.

...

Hale, 28, was a former student at The Covenant School when she shot and killed three children and three adults at a private school last month. The victims who were murdered include Evelyn Dieckhaus, 9, Hallie Scruggs, 9, William Kinney, 9, Cynthia Peak, 61, Katherine Koonce, 60, and Mike Hill, 61.

Since the shooting, a range of conservative commentators have publicly called for Hale’s manifesto to be made public, saying that the FBI’s delay is part of a cover-up to keep the public from knowing about the dangers of transgenderism. About a week after the Nashville mass shooting, a 19-year-old male who reportedly identified as female was arrested in Colorado with detailed plans for several school shootings.

Rep. Walter Hudson (R-Minn.) told the NY Post this week that the documents should be released and said that by doing so, the FBI and other agencies could gain more Americans’ trust. He cited conversations with his constituents who have exhibited an “increasing distrust with the FBI and with government agencies generally.”

“One of the greatest threats to democracy or, as I would say, threats to the Constitutional Republic, is the erosion of trust in institutions. The FBI is one of those institutions,” he told NY Post. “If you’re going to wield power in a free country, then you have a responsibility to maintain the public’s trust in that power—and the FBI needs to figure out how to do that,” the lawmaker said.

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) told the paper that if the documents are not ultimately released, “then we need to investigate why.”

“Oh please! This pure exaggeration.”

No kidding! If it was so well planned and so detailed then why did she basically commit suicide by cop? She must have known she was not going to survive that attack on the school; thus, her “detailed” manifesto of what she had plans for is a contradiction.

Release the damn thing, and let us judge for ourselves.

I’m a student of history, and my university degree is in history; I read history all the time. I’ve read some pretty horrific stuff in history books and studies; and many, many others have, as well. We can read the manifesto without getting the fantods.

The person telling us it is astronomically dangerous...has never even seen it.

“I’m sure that some people thought Thomas Paine’s Common Sense was ‘astronomically dangerous,’ too.”

Yup.

“Trans” people have been added to the list of protected classes of citizens, and are reaping the benefits. The release of the manifesto would be a heavy blow to their “cause” and to the agenda of cultural Marxism.

“If you’re going to wield power in a free country, then you have a responsibility to maintain the public’s trust in that power—and the FBI needs to figure out how to do that,” the lawmaker said.

The entire premise is based on nothing that can be found in the Constitution. Although there are four branches of Government that fight with one another over the concept.

Anyone with any “trust” in the FBI specifically hasn’t been studying their history. Words like Whitey Bulger, WACO, Ruby Ridge, January 6, Various “raids”, the murder of Ted Deegan, and subsequent trial of four innocent men convicted of murder to save FBI informants are all part of their corruption on display.

Difficult not to paint with a broad brush when so much has been perpetrated by so many over the years.

Nothing read is dangerous. It is someones reaction that could be dangerous. What makes a cop or fbi person so much smarter than us normal beings. This is total BS. Release the damn manifesto.

We really need a thread that highlights all the threats and violence trans activists are promoting on their social media accounts. It is quite staggering, and the normal targets are Christian.

Not Muslims who will be throwing their asses off of tall buildings, if they come to power. Hello Minneapolis.

Perhaps we can start an Astronomically Dangerous Manifesto of the Day thread to compliment the APOD.

The No Agenda podcast (Adam Curry and John C. Dvorak) today reported info allegedly based on conversations with Nashville police that some of the journals were like the Anarchist’s Cookbook with specifics on how to kill Christians. They reported some other things about the shooting that I won’t repeat. I would recommend that podcast if you haven’t already heard them.

Because we live in a free scociety. The real danger is letting government people decide what should and should not be able to be published. If you don't want to read it you don't have too. Sure unfortunately there is always another wacko ready to do a copy cat crime.

Mr. Hudson is absolutely right of course, but why did the Post need to seek out a quote from a state legislator (NOT a Congressman) in a state nowhere near the scene of the transvestite's crime? Do they routinely check in with random local officials regarding events of national import that occurred 1,000 miles away from them?

Seems rather odd.

Exactly. We know she was disturbed. Obviously, she was anti-Christian, too.

She probably wanted her manifesto released after her death. That’s how these killers want to be remembered.

Sure, the Left doesn’t want it released for political reasons. But, if it were released, does anyone believe it will knock any sense into the Left?
