U.S. special operations forces carried out a precarious evacuation of the American embassy in warring Sudan on Sunday, sweeping in and out of the capital, Khartoum, with helicopters on the ground for less than an hour. No shots were fired and no major casualties were reported.
With the last U.S. employee of the embassy out, Washington shuttered the U.S. mission in Khartoum indefinitely. Left behind were thousands of private American citizens remaining in the east African country.

How much Top Secret paperwork did the Biden Admin leave behind? You know they did.
Lots of luck for the rest of you suckers.
Having been to the made up country of South Sudan, one has to wonder why they are there.
If they’re true believers I have no problem with that, per de. But they have to realize that they’re pissing up a rope.
That being said, just like Afghanistan, if you’re an American and you’re ignoring what is going on around you, you stay and now you’re trapped….I don’t have much sympathy for you.
Especially knowing full well, what this admin did in Afghanistan.
Who knows, maybe it really was Green Berets.
Relax, you’re among friends we know what you mean.

And I wonder how many weapons the troops were ordered to leave behind.
That’s another Biden thing.
You have a point.
Amen!

There are an estimated 16,000 Americans on the ground in Sudan as fighting between two warring generals has forced private citizens to shelter in place. 2 days ago.
1 American killed in ongoing Sudanese conflict, State ...
Another Biden surrender, another roof-top helicopter rescue.
Okay, how many are real US citizens—born and raised in the US—as opposed to in name only US citizens that also hold Sudan citizenship. The latter, if they chose to return to Sudan, should be stripped of citizenship. We need to stop being a citizenship of convenience, used in need.
For the next two years all American retreat operations should be subcontracted to the French.
Few Americans know or understand much about Africa, which is a continent larger than Europe and larger than North America. Few also do not know Sudan is larger than France, Germany, Spain and Italy combined, with a population near equal with Spain.
Both Russia and China are trying to step in on one side or the other in the internal conflict in Sudan, hoping to add Sudan to their strategic designs in Africa, which include control of the ocean shipping corridors using the coast of Sudan on the Red Sea. Egypt and a few other Arab states are also trying to have some influence with some parties in Sudan.
16,000 seems to be a lot of Americans in Sudan!!!!
Shouldn’t even have been a military operation. I think they’re lying their tails off and these evacuees are “plants”.
Khartoum huh. Hope folks there dont end like General Gordon.

Supposedly, the ambassador or his temp had a last out button or a remote to destroy the paperwork and equipment, asap after the ambassador or his temp pushed the button.
Winston Churchill wrote a small book on Sudan. well, upper Nile, The River war where he pretty much destroys any views of peace with the mohhmedians.
