They want to have it both ways. Some say that the Second Amendment only applies to soldiers in the National Guard, yet others say the Second Amendment doesn’t protect arms such as normal capacity magazines (but rather, only to reduced-capacity ones).
Well, in that case, under what circumstances should soldiers in the National Guard have access to normal-capacity magazines? The Second Amendment doesn’t apply to those items, and yet is supposedly the very provision that allows soldiers to be armed!
Yeah, they do seem to switch between the opinion of “Miller” and the opinions of more recently decided cases.
Which is it? Citizens can only possess guns used by the military? Or, citizens can only possess guns NOT used by the military? Is it the history of keeping guns out of the hands of black slaves? Or is it the history of arming blacks as they are given equal rights?
