Why doesn’t Trump just endorse DeSantis?
The election is still almost two years away. Some people are waiting to see if a conservative runs.
He might.
Just like Ted Cruz did.
That split the fake GOP party as much as anything.
The elites CAN NOT allow an outsider in office again. That is what this is all about.
So, what they have done, and will continue to do, is back a candidate who will tow the establishment line.
And that is what is happening with DeSantis.
Probably because there is always a non-zero chance that [God above forbid] a 79 year old man might drop dead at any given instant, regardless of their health or energy level.
Also not everyone is going to go full-Romney (amongst others) and just forgive and forget some of the cutting comments Trump has made about him.
Just my guesses
Rest assured if Trump wins the primary, DeSantis will endorse him.
And if DeSantis wins the primary, long shot as that may be, I'm certain Trump will endorse his Democrat challenger, --if he doesn't run a third party spoiler campaign.
