AdChoices Daily Mail Daily Mail Trump tells Disney to move OUT of Florida in their war with Ron DeSantis Story by Katelyn Caralle, U.S. Political Reporter For Dailymail.com • 1h ago
Donald Trump took Disney World's side in the company's war with Ron DeSantis He suggested that the company could move out Florida amid the conflict Walt Disney Co. is a massive donor to pro-Trump America First Action Donald Trump has urged Disney to leave Florida in a move that would be a financial 'killer' for Ron DeSantis.
The former president said the Florida Governor and potential 2024 presidential rival is being 'destroyed' by the Magic Kingdom and claimed his 'original P.R. plan fizzled'.
He said the corporation could start selling properties and moving money out of the state in the feud over who has control over the Reedy Creek Improvement District.
Meanwhile, Walt Disney Co. donated a whopping $10.5 million to Trump’s America First Action in the 2020 election cycle, according to Open Secrets.
In the most recent escalation in the war with Disney, DeSantis threatened to build a prison next to the theme park as payback.
'DeSanctus is being absolutely destroyed by Disney,' Trump claimed in a Truth Social post on Tuesday morning, seeming to employ a shorter version of his usual nickname 'DeSanctimonious'.
'His original P.R. plan fizzled, so now he's going back with a new one in order to save face,' he added of DeSantis. 'Disney's next move will be the announcement that no more money will be invested in Florida because of the Governor - In fact, they could even announce a slow withdrawal or sale of certain properties, or the whole thing. Watch! That would be a killer.'

Trump is criticizing DeSantis for taking on Disney over their woke support of legislation in Florida and their entertainment agenda.
Trump does this because Trump took tens of millions from Disney in 2020 and expects to get tens of millions again to fight DeSantis in the primary.
The same way Trump took money from Anheuser-Busch and now sends his son out to stop the boycott.
DeSantis took money from Disney in 2018, but still turned on them when they fought legislation meant to protect children.
Trump is bought and paid for. DeSantis is not.
Here is the way to characterize this:
Trump and DeSantis took money from Disney.
DeSantis turned on Disney to protect our children.
Trump turned on DeSantis to protect Disney.
Trump is bought and paid for.
PS: Trump took money from Anheuser-Busch and now sends his son out to call for an end to the boycott.
That is who Trump has become.
Indefensible, as is voting for liberals.
No one except those who care about opposing the promotion of the LGBTQ, which evangelicals (80% voted for Trump, as I did) and social conservatives do. Oppose them and you are helping the Left.
Yet he was not consistently opposed to the homosexual movement (and what national pol is?), thus resulting in headlines as Why Trump is the most pro-gay president in U.S. history
Trump tells a lot of people to do a lot of things.
But
They never do them.
“In 2016 we ...”
If by “we” you mean us MAGA folks, “we” aren’t enough. Trump needs to pick up people that didn’t vote for him before.
That is absurd. You vote for the most conservative capable electable person to sail the ship in the direction who want the nation to go, which is not a type of liberal libertarian who supports LGBTQ and abortion, though preferable over AOC types.
Trans rights are human right...We at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights have long fought in solidarity with transgender and other allied activists around the world. We have worked with Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG) for nearly a decade to oppose transphobic and homophobic laws, free transgender human rights defenders from arbitrary detention, and create political space for Ugandan activists to carry out their work to create a safe and accepting society. - https://rfkhumanrights.org/press/a-statement-from-kerry-kennedy-president-of-robert-f-kennedy-human-rights
Meaning opposing any competition that opposes Biden, rather than welcoming competition in the interest of letting the best man for the country win, as determined by voters on the basis of policies and capabilities, and as well as wisdom and the merit of character, which Trumps intolerance of any competition impugns. Not that I think DeSantis should run, and which choice at this time is one that indicates immaturity and lack of wisdom.
Meaning opposing any competition that opposes Biden
How did you arrive at that conclusion?
What competition to his run has Trump (whom I voted for) not opposed? Of course, GOP contenders have done so to each other in past debates, more than the common enemy.
but Trump's zero tolerance attacks on Desantis (yet who should not be running) right out of the block testify to ego over ethos, immaturity over superior integrity. Instead, Trump would commend himself by stating his combat experience and policies, while affirming Desantis as being good for Florida.
That’s telling them! With all due respect to President Reagan, President Donald Trump IS the best thing that has happened to this country in my lifetime. Prayers for his continued success in leading the MAGA movement and in uncovering and dismantling the democrat election fraud machine, and in bringing corrupted Washington to heel (prayerfully) as the 47th president.
Yes, I’m speaking of transgender perversions specifically
Frank Luntz?
Seriously? Pick somebody better and less biased.
But, in politics, attacking opponents is part of the game, and after the game, it’s time to make up and get ready for the bigger battles. If a candidate is not ready for battle and is too sensitive to withstand the attacks, then he or she has no business being in the battle.
Florida needs a “toll road” into Disney park. $100 per car.
Deserves our support? You say?
Well, it is politics after all. If history is any guide, and if unchanging human nature is any guide, we are in big trouble, and nobody is doing anything about it. It may be that nothing can be done, which is what I believe. The point of no return was passed long ago so it is an academic question now. My conviction however does not prevent me from assisting anyone who still has hope and who is trying to do something real.
Scott Adams, of Dilbert cartoon fame, has proved that Trump is an expert at pursuasion and propaganda. There are ways to figure when Trump is “pacing and leading”, one of his techniques, so that he can frustrate the conservative agenda, as he does with gun control, and other times when he really believes in a cause, as he does with border control.
There are four issues of importance where we can be sure Trump’s agenda sincerely aligns with ours. All four are important. Only one, taking care of veterans, has shown success. His most important, the wall, was a complete failure! There were some symbolic gestures, and we all know that he was sincerely trying to do something, but he simply does not have that particular set of skills.
His treatment of DeSantis may hurt the cause, or
it may be absolutely necessary to advance the cause.
Is there not a cause?
Has Trump become the cause?
If so then we are still being played.
If not, a sure one he doesn’t know it, He now believes he is the cause. He is the one who sees, so he is the one who will save.

God is still on the throne.
