Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and other mega-retailers have shuttered stores throughout the U.S. due to an overwhelming uptick in thefts.
As Breitbart News reported, reliable retail outlets have begun to make due on their pledge to close stores if crime continues to climb. Just last week, Walmart closed as many as four stores in crime-ridden Chicago.
“The simplest explanation is that collectively our Chicago stores have not been profitable since we opened the first one nearly 17 years ago,” Walmart said in a statement. “These stores lose tens of millions of dollars a year, and their annual losses nearly doubled in just the last five years.”
As reporter John Nolte put it, left-wing cities and states have made shoplifting nearly legal by letting such criminals off with barely a slap on the wrist:

Goodies? That would be a step up from the pajamas and bedroom slippers I've seen some wear.
But a Hoodia in the summer...definitely a big red flag.
The end of society as we USED TO know it.
The only reason we have been able to live in relative safety is because people generally obeyed the laws of right and wrong.
With capitulation to the godless left, refusal to punish law breakers, we have created a society of people that realize that if they commit a crime they will likely not get caught. And IF they do, they will get a slap on the wrist and no real consequences for their actions.
If the people (now that the people) have figured this out, crime will escalate so that the police (who have not been disbanded) and the insufficient, antiquated, overburdened courts can not handle the load, anarchy will result.
THAT will be the end of our society/civilization.

I was at walmart on Saturday and a guy ahead of me bought a pack 4 shaving blades and they were in a plastic box that the clerk had a special device to open to get the blades out....
Some stores have had to lock up various items (including some makeup products) because of inventory concerns. But it’s been noted that suntan lotion has not needed to be locked up.
There are a couple of Walmarts in my town. I quit going to either of them after one of the stores had video cameras installed in the self checkout lanes. My face would come up on the video display while scanning items and paying. It totally creeped me out. I haven’t been back since.
Did anyone notice that all of a sudden 1/4 of everything in Target is behind locked cabinets now? Theft must be brutal. (Tenleytown)
