Florida's Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a bill banning most abortions after six weeks, paving the way for drastic changes in access to the procedure across the state.
Opponents argue six weeks is before many women know they are pregnant.

I would move there if my customers weren’t on the messed Left Coast. INot sure how much time I have peft to rebuild a customer base on the other side of the nation.
Agree
I’ve never heard of a pro-life bill that didn’t include the life of the mother and usually rape and incest.
Imagine that, murdering babies not being acceptable on the national level.
How can that possibly be, when the overwhelming majority of women have no idea they're pregnant that soon?
You're trying to justify flawed logic with more flawed logic and that doesn't work.
State your view.
Trump absolutely deserves respect for appointing the Justices who, with Alito and Thomas, overturned Roe and Casey.
This didn’t exactly pan out in the elections.
Protecting the lives of innocent little preborn babies takes precedence over any other political goal.
Babies do not deserve to be murdered.
I believe DeSantis is right on this. A recent Rasmussen poll that I saw showed that "67% of likely U.S. voters believe abortion should not be legal past the first three months of pregnancy".
I believe DeSantis' tougher position to explain to the voters is on cutting Social Security.
maybe a State Constitution, but not the US Constitution...that takes an Amendment, which will never pass. Thats what those maniacs did in 1972, simply made up their own “amendment”. Abortion has def had an affect politically, but hard to say how much. While it did help the dems, but at the same time, the 5 Governors who passed the strictest laws all won in big landslides...
Re: Abortion was not a state issue in 2016 and 2020
I agree.
Did Trump ever explicitly state what limitations he thought should be placed on abortion in 2016 or 2020?
Did Trump ever mention a limited time window for abortions?
I never heard about that if he did.
Did Trump promise to only nominate federal judges who opposed Roe v. Wade?
If he did, I never heard about that, either.
We’ve moved beyond Hawaiian judges; did Stacey Abrams give her permission?
I should clarify, then when I say DeSantis is "right on this", I specifically mean that he is right about understanding where the voters are on this.
I still believe that the first three months is still human life and still needs to be protected.
you are correct ... but unfortunately anyone running on that will never get elected to a position to do anything about it ... shoulda never let women vote ...
Babies’ lives should not be traded for any political thing that you want.
Agreed. Congratulations Florida.
hard disagree.

I’m not saying I disagree with his opinion. My position is that to get a nationwide policy, first you have to achieve nationwide office. You’re right. It will fire up voters. The opposite side. You totally underestimate the number of women who want the right to kill their babies.
I didn’t mention rape or incest. I was explicitly talking about the life of the mother. From my perspective that’s life foe life and that is the choice od the family. I also said I don’t know what’s in this bill. The way you talk about these issues is also something to be considered. Running around calling everyone a murderer is probably not great politics. Personally I would stress making sure people don’t see abortion as a way out. If your child had an out of wedlock child would you be supportive or immediately disappointed. Even that goes to promoting life. I could write a book on how this should be handled
