I joined the Marine Corps when I was 17 years old. I had a full Top Secret Security Clearance. I had access to the President of the United States and other government personnel ours and other countries while fully armed. Up to and including M60 machine guns with ammunition belts installed and extra ammo cans standing by. I don’t get what you think 21 years old has to do with anything.

That is all fine and I am sure you performed your duties admirably. But that doesn't mean this story isn't full of holes. How do JCS TS assessments and war planning documents, fresh off the press, find their way into the hands of a young ANG member in Massachusetts, which is a long way from DC.?

As a 21 year old Marine I never had the opportunity to handle high level clearance intelligence at that juncture of my life. You sound like a special devil dog. Not a grunt like me or a 21 year old Part Time Massachusetts Air National Guard Member.

Our brains probably didn’t work like yours at that time in our life. I think that is what the author meant about 21 years old.
