This has to be a typo. 18,000 cows is a huge number. Maybe 1,800.

So the typical Holstein is about two feet wide and 95 inches long (8ft). Standing nut to butt, 18M cows is a good 290M Sq ft. One acre is 44M Sq ft.

So to put it in perspective: this explosion killed about SIX ACRES of cows?

With that many cows, it would have to be. But even so, for one explosion to kill that many of them, would have had to be a massive event. Six acres is the size of 5-6 football fields. Big.
