There are a lot more and better choices for beer. Conservatives *should* be more loyal to their causes, but at least this one is far easier to boycott.

It does not appear that is at all the case, at least in regards Gillette. While the story is rather more complicated than the “Gillette loses $8 billion” headlines - which reflected several circumstances unrelated to the ad as well - their new level set is about 20% or so lower than they were, with many customers moving to Harry’s and Dollar Shave Club. That migration had been going on for a few years, but rapidly accelerated in 2019.
