Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal is expected to undergo surgery on Sunday after fracturing his femur.
The Connecticut Democrat fractured his femur during a mishap at the victory parade for the UConn Men’s Basketball team on Saturday, News 12 Connecticut reported.
The Huskies won the Men’s NCAA Basketball National Championship earlier this week.

What is the current scorecard as to who is on the disabled roster and who has returned to the Senate?
Feinstein is still out, as is McConnell. However, Fetterman has returned, but now Blumenthal is out. Is any other Senator currently not able to make it to the chambers to vote in person? No proxies allowed in the Senate.
The Democrats can’t count on Manchin since he is currently trying to rebuild his image with his voters prior to deciding whether or not to run again in 2024.
I think that at the moment they may not even be able to count on Romney to support them in any legislation so we are effectively at a standstill. That, of course, is good for the nation.
At best, you probably won’t see him until after the summer recess period. At his age, physical rehab will be awful hard.
Femur fracture is a long slow recovery at his age.
Maybe surgery done by a brain surgeon who said at the end of the procedure? Has anyone seen my anal scissors I used in the operation?

Thanks. I thought Fetterman had returned. So, with Harris as a tie-breaker, if votes are by party-line, the Dems still have the advantage. However, Sienma is technically an independent and is not a sure vote.
