They can’t ban the trans from competing while the lawsuit against their ban on trans competing in women’s sports is still in court. Bad, but not what the media has made it out to be, and fairly standard procedure.

Of course, if a governor took such a step the state legislature, the state’s congressional delegation, and the people of the state would have to stand with him or her and be willing to hold steadfast in the firestorm that would ensue. In addition the governor would have to be prepared to be arrested and imprisoned by the federal authorities.

I can think of a governor who would be willign, and all you folks here do is beat up on him.

Misreading this. It’s a typical case, which the court does all the time, of refusing to step in before state processes and appeals have run their course.

Its’ what all conservatives say they want when they cry about states’ rights.

The court merely would not interfere in the ongoing lawsuit process.
