Trump’s indictment creates a new era for the GOP. Swamp Republicans hardest hit.

The indictment and pending arraignment of Donald Trump signals a new era for the Republican Party. The move by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, not coincidentally timed to push aside discussion of documentary proof of bribes funneled by China to Biden family members, has clarified the nature of the actual political system we live under today. A Twitter thread from an account identified as Big Serge explains. (Hat tip: Mark Wauck)

One of the key fissures in American politics is that you have one party that entertains fantasies about the "Rule of Law", and another that understands that it's far more important to rule *by* law. Idealism vs instrumentalism.

Rule of law aims to eradicate arbitrary political exercise of power by imposing equitable and universal accountability to neutral laws. Rule by law simply means imposing rule and exercising political power through juridical or procedural means. Must know the difference.

When you complain about double standards and inequitable treatment, all you’re doing is showing that the other side understands power and you don’t. Loser talk.

“Hey, they’re punishing their enemies and rewarding their friends! That’s not fair!” Yes, this is called “ruling” and is the basic motivating animus of all political action. You should try it sometime.

The indictment of President Trump by the Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg will determine once and for all whether the Republican party is willing to fight to preserve our country, or will tell their friends to “hold them back” as they pretend to throw punches at a much bigger foe.

The Swamp wing of the party, strongest among DC-based politicians, particularly the Senate, will be bypassed and rendered irrelevant if it does not follow the lead of predominantly state and local officials, who are well-positioned to utilize the tool that Democrats have now legitimized.

The

to regret.

The Democrat (Marxist) Party is well beyond salvation. Anyone who still supports this evil maniacal party today, is also beyond redemption, beyond rehabilitation, and a direct threat to national sovereignty, security, freedom, liberty, and justice for every sane American.

In short, we don’t need Ron DeSantis in the White House. What we need are 50 Ron DeSantises, one in each state house.

It’s going to be one state at a time. We lost Wisconsin last night, but as in any war, loss of territory can always be reversed with better tactics and superior force.

Mitch McConnell is outraged that Alvin Bragg has indicted Trump. He’s just keeping it to himself.

“…will determine once and for all whether the Republican party is willing to fight to preserve our country, or will tell their friends to “hold them back” as they pretend to throw punches at a much bigger foe.“

Will determine once and for all?? As if we haven’t witnessed this for a LONG, LONG time???

Our Republican politicians couldn’t care less about “preserving our country..”.
Politicians are grifters, leeches, parasites.. the ONLY thing they truly care about is enriching themselves - with power and money and lavish living.

WE are their enemy. THEY will stick together in this no matter what.
Bottom line: DC politicians NEED Donald Trump GONE. He wants to continue exposing them all for the crooks they are and just how badly they’ve corrupted our system of government.

Losers talk. Winners act.

I'm sick of hearing endless blather by the GOP.

They mistake talk for action.

The only time I want to hear talk from them is after they do something meaningful, which is seldom to never.

Bragg and the democrats have pushed things to an “I am Spartacus” moment for many Trump supporters.

There is a big lesson to be learned from Tuesday’s elections in WI and IL If the dims can install the two elected Tuesday, there is a big problem for those who have been saying that we conservatives will win in 2024 and Trump will be president again.

If the dims can install the two they did on Tuesday, they can do it again in 2024.

The conservatives need to clean house at the RNC. Where was the RNC in the period leading up to Tuesday? It has been reported that the Soros groups donated $20 million to their candidate. How much did the RNC spend to help the conservative?

I probably am a typical republican. I would not give the RNC one penny. I contribute to the individual and I am careful to see that he/she gets my donation.

In short, the RNC is a huge problem for the true conservatives.

“The only time I want to hear talk from them is after they do something meaningful”

Yep, that’s where i’m at too. They havent accomplished anything if we don’t see an impeachment proceeding from the congress and charges leveled and prosecuted from the state level at hunter.

I agree with you - things MUST happen at the State levels across the board. And many good things have happened since the 2020 steal.

“We lost Wisconsin last night, but as in any war, loss of territory can always be reversed with better tactics and superior force.”

Actually, we didn’t. We GAINED a Republican Super Majority in our House and Assembly! (Senate)

That ALONE is worth cheering about! Yeah, we lost a WI SC seat to a Socialist Democrat; Kelly was a lousy candidate to start with. With this Super Majority, we can keep any Socialist Democrat BS from going forward. We can also start impeaching Socialist Democrats in key places (Milwaukee County DA Chisholm? We’re gunning to YOU!) and we can still keep the damage to a minimum.

Granted, it’s not the state I grew up in, and even when we had Socialist Democrats in charge in the past, they were pretty benign compared to the crop we have today.

That said, we are holding our own here in Wisconsin, despite the odds. :)

Yup, go after Hunter on the gun charge, at least first, as it will be very hard for the left to claim moral outrage when defending that charge.

Even as I wrote the earlier, I realized that winning the majority in the state legislature was/is much more important.

My real hot button is that I have a very low tolerance for stupidity and I can not imagine anyone voting for a party that installs the senile, the grafters, the liars and the violent people that make up the present day dim party.

I also realize that WI, like many other states, has fine patriotic citizens in general and that it is the larger cities that are at the bottom of the major problems.

But it still boggles the mind that some people are voted into office. We must be aware of the fact that it will happen again and we must work hard to get the right people in the offices that have the most influence.

....I don’t want to appear to be rude or crude or otherwise socially objectionable, but....neither the Republicans nor the self-proclaimed Conservatives (the two are not the same....) have the balls to do anything but get their collective panties in a twist and clutch their pearls....

“Our Republican politicians couldn’t care less about “preserving our country..”.”

It’s not just the politicians. There are far too many milquetoast republicans on “our side” who have been out there calling for patience, understanding, calmness, let the process work, etc, etc, etc....

It’s too late for all that now.

It’s long past time that we should have started using the democrats own tactics against them.

We’ve allowed them to over the years censor the soap box, steal the ballot box, and now they’re hell bent on outlawing the ammo box.

As far as I’m concerned, we’re at the point where we need to start drowning these treasonous democrats and their republican enablers in their own blood.
