Uggh
I said.. three times… that owners of fire arms should lock them up . And if they are used by someone else, they should be CRIMINALLY charged.
No, I’ve also stated I don’t have all the answers but something has to change.
I have respected opinions. I haven’t used any name calling.
I own firearms. I lock some up. I don’t lock up others.
“Locking up” firearms only deters those too lazy to go whole hog and take what they want regardless of any “Gun Safe”.
Familiarize yourself with an angle grinder.
Attempt to charge me for a criminal stealing my possessions who then turns around and uses them in a criminal fashion has zero to do with me. Do you lock up automobile owners who have their car stolen and then subsequently wrecked killing innocents? No? Why not? It’s precisely the same thing you’re advocating!
There are no easy answers, and gun grabbing makes you an enemy of freedom.
So I guess that means you'd have a problem with the .22 we have propped up by our front door? If someone breaks into my house and steals said .22 rifle I should be charged? No, I don't have to lock it up, it's there because we have chickens and goats and there was a coyote around. If we had to run and get it out of a gun safe the coyote would already have run off with a baby goat or one of the chickens. You are totally off base with that remark. My house.
Not only that, you probably wouldn't like the fact that we had friends over and they had a 4 year old daughter and I forgot about that gun by the door until they were ready to leave. I said "Oh my goodness, I forgot about that gun I should have put it up when she (the little girl) was here and the parents looked at me like I was crazy and said "No, of course not, she knows not to mess with guns" because they are good parents and even their little girl knows you don't mess with guns especially in other peoples houses nor should you fear the gun propped up in the corner not bothering anyone. :)
