So what is your solution about the availibility of guns. I am sure there are already plenty of laws on the books that never get enforced, that if they had been, would have avoided this. So why do you think even more laws will make a difference?

Well how about cars, hundreds of people are killed by cars. I’ve lost someone to a car wreck, can we ban cars? Makes just as much sense.
My only sibling was murdered with a gun.

If you “didn’t blame the gun” then you would know that across this country states are passing laws decriminalizing crimes and making it easier for criminals in general to not be charged, and/or released without bond, etc.
Every day, and week, SA’s and DA’s and judges release violent criminals back onto the streets without any concern for the security or safety of society and weekly there are violent criminals who reoffend because they were summarily released. They commit more GUN CRIMES, they commit more MURDER, they commit more RAPE, they commit more ASSAULT, they get arrested and RE-RELEASED.
MORE GUN CONTROL DOESN’T FIX THAT.

They know with our guns it’s more difficult at some point to impose their will on us
It is criminal violence, not gun violence. Do you refer to traffic deaths as auto violence? Airplane crash as airplane violence? Accidental death from sleeping pill overdose as pill violence? The list goes on but you can probably follow along with the theme. There are three guns within two steps of my desk right now. Even a scary black semiautomatic.223 with an 18 inch barrel, scope, and foregrip with a pop out bipod - which you probably call an assault rifle. None of those guns have ever harmed a soul or been violent, even the scary black one. In fact, those lazy guns are about as far from violence as you can get. They just sort of hang out all day doing absolutely nothing. Hell, I don’t think they have even moved in more than two months.
Guns are here to stay and the current gun control laws have not stopped these kinds of shootings in the least.
All gun control does is make it harder for law abiding citizens to defend themselves. It doesn’t stop criminals because they already know what they are doing is wrong and
illegal and guess what?
THEY. DONT. CARE.
Laws will not stop anyone except those who are law abiding anyways. And they won’t be going around shooting up schools.
The solution is bringing back mental health facilities and jailing criminals instead of coddling them all.
