“The 50’s were an awfully good era for Americans.”
for 13 percent who were black, it was worse I imagine. However, being a citizen of a country by far the most powerful in the world, with a standard of living other countries could only dream of (ration cards in the UK for example), anyone could be proud to be an American (not Michelle apparently).

“Once she returns from Africa, they’re going to begin to talk directly to the American people on the anxieties and concerns that everyday Americans have.”

Yep, that’s what they’ll do. Talk. Endlessly. Then they’ll give some constitution raping legislation a patriotic and COMPASSIONATE name that they’ll claim addresses Americans concerns and then they’ll drop ever caring or thinking about it again.

The democrats are trying to choose their opponent by directing their vitriol at DeSantis but we all know who the nominee is really going to be.

Brazile has a long history of being racist and it's disgusting she still has a career.

Yes, my good FRiend, I can't think of a greater American from the last century, and that's among so many greats.

I learned much about Eisenhower in Steven Ambrose's "D-Day". A remarkable accounting of a fragile moment in our history. Ike was the best at thinking ahead, identifying the most critical elements, getting super egos to agree, and stepping in when absolutely necessary. We could not have won the war in Europe without Ike, I strongly suspect.

Looking back, as a young lad in the 50s, much of the comity and clarity and national purpose came from Ike and his team.

Everyone should go read his farewell address to see how prescient he was.

We’d all take a 1950s America over the lousy 1930s version that Potato Joe is giving this country right now.

A 1950’s America compared to today is much preferred if you are sane.

Who wants to live in an America where the history told is all emotional lies, where a woman might be a man and a man can be a woman, and where two dudes can legally adopt a child and then abuse it for 18 years?

God will have the last laugh.

I lived in the South...deep South..,in the early-mid 60’s and race relations were just fine from my perspective. There was still Crow but it worked both ways don’t forget. MLK came along and stirred up a hornets nest much the same way Obama and current democrats have done.

Strawman argument. No one is interested in enacting the negative components of 1950s America, which still is a better place than any orwelkian socialist craphole around today.

The fact the left has to be at war with our own country says a lot. I think people need to start pointing it out more.

I listen to the radio a good 8 hours daily. All old time radio. Don’t bother with todays boob tube unless my wife calls me to view the cop show with Selleck.
At least half the radio presentAtions emphasize the need for family-as part of the script or public service messages. Family love, attending church, even an emphasis on citizenship.
Or I could watch the sewage provided us dolts by todays crass commercial scam artists.

Eisenhower and Reagan are underappreciated because they were Republicans and the media covers for disasters like Truman, Kennedy, Carter.
