Trump rally goes silent after he attempts to mock DeSantis

Former President Donald Trump took aim at potential Republican primary foe Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis during a recent campaign event, with much of the criticism garnering little enthusiasm from those in attendance.

During his Saturday campaign event in Waco, Texas, on Saturday, Trump argued that DeSantis had little chance of becoming Florida's governor without the former president's endorsement, with Trump breaking into an impersonation of DeSantis allegedly begging him for his support in the state's 2018 Republican primary.

"So, he came, and he really wanted [my endorsement]. I said, ‘You can’t win, can you? How do you – can [you] win?'" Trump said, recalling the alleged conversation with DeSantis. "‘Sir, if you endorse me, I’ll win. Please, please, sir, endorse me,'" Trump continued as he acted out a crying, begging voice.

Every person who thinks that Ron would make a stronger candidate is a neverTrumper? Delusional. Anyone here or anywhere who would stay home rather than vote for Trump is a fool.

Are you serious? Before DeSantis had said anything, Trump had called him a “pedophile” and a “dog,” so DeSantis should have eviscerated Trump.

As for the crowd reaction to Trump’s pathetic barbs against DeSantis, it wasn’t just Fox News taking note of it. Mark Levin tweeted about it, saying how Trump’s supporters don’t like the name-calling.

“Independent voters despise Donald Trump.”

Actually, Independents’ favorables for Trump have soared over the last two weeks.

Are you in bed with them that you know about these liaisons. Stormy is on record in writing that there never was a liason with her. I’d be ashamed to parrot gossip about a man who put himself on the line for America, took no salary and all the heat. You throw lies like some people throw pebbles at streams.
Trump is not tepid on religion. People of faith have a friend in him. Just because he is not willing to condemn gay people and marginalize them does not mean he is not for small Government, and fiscal responsibility. I grow very tired of the trash talking that ignores essentials, ignores the Constitution and the rights of American that Trump protects and fights for. DeSantis is a political animal.

The incumbent. Especially a Presidential incumbent usually has the advantage except in midterms...which is why it doesn’t bode well for Trump if he couldn’t hold it together in 2020 while Biden performed relatively well in 2022 despite the atrocious state of things.

Maybe Trump can start holding Biden to account for the things he’s largely escaped responsibility for so far instead of making unprovoked attacks on the fellow GOPer he’s supposedly so far ahead of according to his fans here.

Some say he’s a Master Baiter.>>>>>>>>>>>

YEAH....plenty of people think that , but in reality they should know that President Trump delegates such tasks to his wife Melania.

Being married to her, his attempting to be a Master Baiter would be pretty much an oxymoron missed by morons.

Ask not for whom THE Trump trolls...He trolls for thee!

“no matter how much you try to justify or rationalize what Donald Trump says or does, he will come along later and saw the branch on which you are perched”

You mean like he did after his 2016 election, giving us the best economy and safest nation in decades? Yeah - I really hated that.

It did no such thing in any kind of negative reaction to the remarks about DeSantis.

There’s a certain amount of repetition of previous rallies at a Trump rally, but everyone waits for the new parts, and that’s what this was. So everyone was quiet and listened.

There was new policy stuff too. Usually comes near the end, as some did yesterday.

I think a lot will depend on the state of the country by then.

The Democrats were fortunate that things more or less stabilized last year, with regards with the economy.

But if the economy continues to worsen, and things in Ukraine go south, all bets are off.

If you listened to the audio DeSantis went on a 30s-1 minute attack on Bragg. The porn star bit was literally just a one line throwaway joke.

- - - - - - -

He knew the media would focus on that part.

Do you admire Mitt Romney?

Really?

We're now comparing Ron Desantis with Mitt Romney? The ease at which we slip into fratricide is pretty unnerving. I may not agree with every point of Ron DeSantis, but Ron DeSantis is a committed patriot. And that fact does not somehow diminish Donald Trump.

“In other words even you think he will lose.”

No. I said I believe he’ll win if we have a fair election. I’d say the chances are about 50/50, at this point. And by fair, I don’t mean completely devoid of any cheating or fraud, but devoid of the massive, outcome determinative cheating that we saw in 2020.

Why won’t DeSantis endorse Trump?

DeSantis is probably looking to run as well. Nothing wrong with that. I like and admire Ron DeSantis. I like Donald Trump.

I don't like that Trump revealed private conversations he had with DeSantis regarding his asking for an endorsement. That conversation was private and that request would have been considered a high honor by most people. Revealing details of that conversation was not honorable, IMO. Further, nothing wrong with arguing on policy positions, but there is no reason to succumb to using personal ad hominin attacks.

People who listen to too much FOX News believe everything thing they say. Then on Election Day. FOX will stab them in the back and cheer on the RAT.
