This poor woman. I have had broken bones ( ski injuries) they are very painful.
Just one more reason I can never fly again, being very deaf myself. It won’t actually matter because I quit flying about 15 years ago after being man-handled and groped in Minneapolis by a TSA agent who barely spoke English, and badly needed to learn about deodorant.

She didn't volunteer to be arrested for only trying to rebook a flight and being deaf, then stripped naked in jail and having her arm broken with no medical treatment for 3 days.

If it is the city of Austin, the idiot taxpayers deserve it.
I get that but the implication could be construed that she was somehow "lucky" this happened to her because she possibly wins a jackpot.
I hope she wins a lawsuit but more importantly the cops involved, especially the one who broke her arm should face criminal charges.
And the ticket agent who called the cops on her should be fired.

For one thing you are assuming that every taxpayer and voter in Austin votes Dem. They all do not. And secondly even if they do, punishing the taxpayers without holding the cops accountable for their bad actions just gets more of this.
I am the same way. I have severe hearing loss. My last flight, I was asked a bunch of questions from a TSA goon. He was wearing a mask, so I couldn’t read his lips. He then they got agitated at me because I wasn’t answering their questions.
But they didn’t break my arm, so there’s that.
I watch many of those "auditor" videos on youtube. They chronicle various police encounters with the general public. I know that there are cops who violate Constitutional rights as well as the personal integrity of the general public. And this one sure as hell appears to be such a case.
True, it does seem to be one-sided. I would like to know both sides of this story. The real truth of what happened.
