Make America Florida
>Rep. Tracie Davis, D-Jacksonville, argued that expanding voucher access would chip away at funding for traditional public schools.
Good. I’d like to keep my property taxes too.
Are leftists tearing their clothing over parents having the right to direct their own children’s education?
...”expanding voucher access would chip away at funding for traditional public schools.”
As it should.
“Anybody would be entitled to get the up to $8,000 that we’re talking about”
Not sure of private school costs in Florida but would that cover the cost of a private high school?
Tell that to the newly-minted, opportunistic DeSantis haters here.
Wait... everyone here said that DeSantis is a Soros-funded neo-con!!
How can this be?? This must be fake news!!

Yes, but Trump didn’t have to worry about paying his kids tuition, so not important to him. We need National standard for vouchers for everyone, not income based.
The following link gives the costs for the Day Tuition Schedule for 1 year.
would that cover the cost of a private high school?
If you desire, or need, to board them there:
public schools in Florida are costing about $20,000 per student per year.
There is no mention in the article as to how much the voucher will be for a student to leave public school and move to a private school.
Anyone know how much the vouchers will be?????
The state's interest is an educated public, not public education.
I would rather the schools be audited to find out why it's so ridiculously high. Actually I know why. Top heavy administrative staff, aides on top of aides, high level staff junkets,

I am fully in agreement. Far too many schools are spending far too much money on their bureaucracy and far too many kids end up being uneducated.
My concern is where the money for the vouchers is coming from.
As we know schools are mainly funded by property taxes assessed in each county.
So will the school lose property tax money if a kid uses a voucher to move to a private school????
The nitty-gritty of how this voucher program will be financed needs to be exposed.
But our honesty is exposing those who are Trump haters. Gee that sucks bigtime for you Trump haters, doesn't it.
Apparently you fools don't wany America to be free anymore. You are fine with tyranny, and the endless wars where they continue to fleece you.
Trump has, does, and continues to support vouchers for all children. So, you obviously don’t know Trump at all.
No. Roughly twice that for a private school tuition.
Democrats fight this because it allows Teenz to attend the schools they send their children to
My wife and I have no kids. Why do we have to pay property taxes to support government indoctrination centers?
