When Will Stubborn Trump Loyalists Face Inconvenient Truths?
American Thinker ^ | 03/24/23 | Geoffrey Hunt

Posted on 03/24/2023 9:27:50 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Stubborn Trump supporters, especially the most fervent, seem unwilling to challenge the deedless covenant, ask the hard questions that if answered truthfully would confirm that Donald Trump has been a supreme letdown, and his failures -- including the re-election debacle -- self-inflicted.

Promises made, promises kept? Not when it mattered.

Drain the swamp? Spinning around in an airboat.

Trump never cleaned up the FBI, instead hired the Dem sympathizer Christopher Wray as Director, and except for a few gratuitous tweets about his incompetence, left him in place.

Gina Haspel, CIA chief, kept the job until the last day despite the likelihood she was knee-deep with John Brennan in the active sabotage of Trump’s 2015-2016 campaign and incoming president-elect transition.

Trump appointed, then tolerated clueless insubordinates and leakers like Rex Tillerson, John Kelly, JR McMaster, James Mattis, and Gary Cohn, until the damage was done, and Trump’s agenda crippled.

When will unyielding Trump loyalists answer the following questions?

Why did Trump endlessly rail against billions in federal budget giveaways to Dem darlings like Planned Parenthood, and Marxist countries, but signed the bills anyhow?

Why couldn’t Trump get illegal immigration fixed -- beyond executive orders easily overturned — and get Obamacare reversed when he had a Republican Senate and House? Why did Trump let Paul Ryan ruin his platform? Why did Trump deliberately antagonize John McCain knowing McCain would undercut the final vote on debriding Obamacare? Why did Trump willfully persist with a toxic persona, alienating suburban voters that cost him (and us) the House in 2018 and led to the first impeachment and a MAGA agenda declared morte by the Democrats?

Why did Trump never de-classify all the Obamagate documents, and release all of the Biden laptop evidence?

RE: smell a Ron DeSanctimonious supporter.

He is assuming that the humongous obstacles and hostility Trump faced won’t apply to DeSantis or anybody else.

Funny the AT has been spot on usually. Trump definitely made mistakes especially on hiring, but that doesn’t change that he delivered bigly.

The issues I have is that this article is inconveniently false. The John McCain anecdote is really bizarre. McCain’s little tantrum had no effect in the end, since President Trump effectively ended Obamacare when he repealed the mandate.

It's like I told Droop the Ronlim the other day when he himself cited Trump's "fanatical base of worshipers [sic]."

I pointed out it's actually "his fanatical 74M base of worshippers"; and slug Friday dumps like this prick or the Ronlims don't even begin to chip away at that base.

I don’t care if they have a picture of Trump and Putin on the Grassy Knoll with smoking 6.5×52mm Carcano Model 91/38 infantry rifles.... I’m still voting Trump.

Maybe some thought that voting for Trump was the same as voting for Jesus Christ. I know I didn’t. He has many faults, as we all do. However, despite his faults, and with all the media, and most of the congress against him, he outperformed any recent President to hold office.

I personally think President Trump did a fine job in spite of his enemies (and that includes people on our own side, who should have been pulling in our direction instead of against it) hobbling his every move.

I often pause to consider how much more he might have actually achieved if his own political party had worked with him rather than against him.

The vaccines saved many lives and enabled the economy to reopen fully.

You cannot prove that.

Sorry.

“I will vote for the GOP candidate, but I hope it’s not Trump. Too much self inflicted baggage.”

I will vote for the GOP candidate, but I hope IT IS Trump. The job ahead to save the nation needs him, No other on the horizon is capable of doing it. If he will control his tweets (mouth), he can win.

It’s my humble opinion that nobody’s going to win in 2024. The Democrats own our election system. They have stolen numerous previous elections, and I see no evidence that anything will change in 2024. It will probably be worse than ever. Case in point, Kari Lake!

Trumpster was in discovery mode in first term. You need to know who the enemy is before you can knee cap them. His loss during 2020 may have been the plot to expose besides the election fraud. One thing Trumpster did is give people hope which counts more than anything else. Without the belief you are never going to have faith.

In 2024 America will be worse off than it is now. The way I see it is many will be forced to hold their nose and vote for Trump or get Biden or Kamala for four more years. The banks are melting. They will have to inject trillions of dollars into the banking system which will cause inflation to spike again. WWIII is brewing. Crime is out of control in many areas. If they cheat again that might just lead to a backlash/whitelash. I think the political establishment has checkmated itself.
