The transgendered barracks are ok though, right? I’d hate to see any of our wokeness warriors have a bad day?

Sure am glad we’re not engaged in nation-building over there. /s

Trump ordered Milley to get us out of Syria, but instead of a Republic, something else is ruling us. Eisenhower was aware of it, but here we are.

*IF* they had the equipment there, TPQ-36 counter-battery RADAR can fix the launch location in seconds.

“A U.S. base in Syria’s Al Omar region...”
Think I found the problem here...

As SDF installed its spheres of influence in the region as far as the Euphrates River from the eastern side, the al-Omar field is now known as the largest US military base in Syria. The field in Deir Ezzor’s eastern countryside is the largest oil field in Syria, with a pre-Syrian revolution production of about 30,000 barrels per day.

Trump did not remove our military base in Al-Tanf though, he kept that while removing the rest.

Biden would send over the band to perform "Love Shack" for them.

I am not convinced they obeyed his orders to remove the rest. How many are in Syria now?

I had F&F on this morning for ten minutes at breakfast. One of the guys was trying to explain why we were there, and why it was important.

After give minutes of him writing on his TV screen, it still made no sense. He was trying to explain how we were there to protect Jordan and Israel and how Iran was trying to get closer to Israel.

It made no sense. Israel can take care of itself. And while I have always felt Jordan was the sanest country in that area...I think they can take care of themselves against ISIS.

ISIS has been around for a long time. We cannot eradicate them with all of the might of the US Department of Defense? Something is terribly wrong if that is the case.

“As SDF installed its spheres of influence in the region as far as the Euphrates River from the eastern side, the al-Omar field is now known as the largest US military base in Syria. “

Look at a map ppl.

The SDF and Iranian militias tried several times to occupy the al-omar oil fields east of the Euphrates. Their resupply was repeatedly ambushed as it crossed thru ISIS territory. They do not have the forces to do so. ISIS was using the oil fields and facilities for funding. Both of these factors necessitated US occupying the region east of the Euphrates as being supplied from the Jordan in the south the US is able to be supplied without crossing ISIS areas. Both the SDF and Russians approved of the occupation insofar as it denied ISIS the oil revenue thereby assisting SDF resisting ISIS.
