He’s a retired Colonel, not an “ex Colonel” as this horrible writer states. I agree with the Colonel this has been effectively over for some time, were it not for those (Biden) who want to keep it going at all costs.

- when East and West Germany reunited (with resultant NATO expansion), the U.S. made a deal with Gorbachev, that if the USSR did not push back on German reunification, then NATO would not expand into Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland.

- along comes Bill Clinton, who pushes NATO expansion into Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland and the Bear is further provoked.

- Obama stages coup in Ukraine 2014, which removed a duly elected president.

- Ukrainian army proceeds to murder over 14,000 ethnic Russians in the eastern Donbass region.

- surprise surprise Biden presses NATO expansion into Ukraine with further provocations by Sweden and Finland joining NATO, which is currently under way.

- Biden destroys the Nordstream 2 pipeline and blames it on Russia. The first time the U.S. has attacked the major infrastructure of an ally (Germany). A further major provocation.

- just imagine if the Chinese CCP conducted similar actions along the Canadian and Mexican borders. Would we accept Chinese military bases with nukes along our borders? This is what Putin was forced to deal with when Biden threatened NATO expansion into Ukraine and other countries.

- Russia, China, and a number of other major nations refuse to participate in the western (U.S. led) globalism movement. Putin is standing in the way. Is the U.S. on the right side of this war? Depends on the color of your sunglasses.

The US never made any deal with Gorbachev about NATO.

There’s no agreement, no treaty, no resolution that says this. Just BS from Russian propagandists.

“...the U.S. made a deal with Gorbachev, that if the USSR did not push back on German reunification, then NATO would not expand into Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland.”

Lie. There was no such deal. Even Gorbachev — who was present at the meeting where the alleged “deal” was made — said there was never any such deal or agreement.

“- Ukrainian army proceeds to murder over 14,000 ethnic Russians in the eastern Donbass region.”

Lie. But, you Russian propagandists never tire of trotting it out.

The 14,000 number you all trot out refers to ALL deaths in the civil war, between 2014 and 2021. Of that 14,000, fewer than 4,000 were civilians. The majority were combatants from both sides. Interestingly enough, that 14,000 number does not include the 280 or so civilians killed when Russian-backed and supplied separatists shot down MH17, a Malaysian airliner, killing all on board.

” surprise surprise Biden presses NATO expansion into Ukraine with further provocations by Sweden and Finland joining NATO, which is currently under way.”

Lie. In 2008 Ukraine and Georgia expressed the desire to join NATO (Bush II was president). The Bush administration and the Obama administration and the Trump administration all entertained the idea, but never seriously pursued it because they knew there was no way that Ukraine met the criteria for membership (though in the future it might). Sweden and Finland were quite content with their neutral status, UNTIL Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. Then, they took note of Russia’s aggression, and its history of taking over neighboring countries, and decided there was too much risk from Russia to remain neutral, so they sought membership in NATO.

“- Biden destroys the Nordstream 2 pipeline and blames it on Russia. The first time the U.S. has attacked the major infrastructure of an ally (Germany). A further major provocation.”

Prove it. You and your fellow Russian apologists began making that claim the day the explosions occurred. You WANT it to be so; so, in your system of justice, it IS so. However, in our legal system one is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and there has been no adjudication of guilt — of ANYONE. You have already convicted the president of an act of war, based upon innuendo, hearsay, and wishful thinking. I detest Joe Biden, but he is still entitled to the protections of our laws. And you would deny him those protections.

“- just imagine if the Chinese CCP conducted similar actions along the Canadian and Mexican borders. Would we accept Chinese military bases with nukes along our borders? This is what Putin was forced to deal with when Biden threatened NATO expansion into Ukraine and other countries.”

Too funny! You guys trot this out on a regular basis, as well. And you usually cite the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. The fact remains that we did not have a problem with Russian troops in Cuba. What we had a problem with was The Soviets introducing into Cuba OFFENSIVE nuclear missiles, with the range to his all of the “lower 48” with the exception of a narrow slice of pie at the extreme upper Northwest. There are NO US nukes on Russia’s borders: There are none in Poland; there are none in Lithuania; there are none in Latvia; there are none in Estonia; there are none in Norway. There are some in Turkey, but Turkey shares no land border with Russia; and there are hundreds of miles of Black Sea between Turkey and Russia.

You argue like a BLAME AMERICA FIRST zealot instead of an AMERICA FIRST patriot.

Ukrainian army proceeds to murder over 14,000 ethnic Russians in the eastern Donbass region.

That statement is like wearing a tattoo on your face that says "Russian propaganda stooge".

It has been disproven over and over again, and all the better propaganda posters have given up on it. Are you the new hire?

If so don't miss the pelmeni in the cafeteria on Monday, I hear they are really good.

Chauncey “Ukrainian army proceeds to murder over 14,000 ethnic Russians in the eastern Donbass region.”

Why do you keep repeating disproven Putin propaganda?

14000 is the total number of dead on both sides in the 7 years of war (2014 to 2021). Note: both sides.

During Russia’s 2014-2021 military operations against Ukraine, 14,500 people died in the Donbas war. Of that 14,000, 3,404 were civilians, 4,400 were Ukrainian servicemen and 6,500 were Russian militants.

The figure Putinistas use, 14000, is the total number of casualties incurred in the Donbas war by both sides.

Data obtained from the reports of the so-called “Commissioner for Human Rights in the Donetsk People’s Republic” show casualty figures even lower than those of the United Nations. In a 2020 report the total losses of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) since the start of the war in Donbas are estimated to be 4,959. This is the figure that is officially recorded by the DPR “legislature”.

The report also claims that the majority of deaths occurred in 2014-2015, when 2,546 and 1,395 died respectively. In subsequent years the number of casualties in the Donbas war has significantly decreased. In 2016, 348 people were killed, in 2017 – 278, in 2018 – 154, in 2019 – 160 people. In 2020, 44 people died, marking the lowest casualty rate for the entire period of the armed conflict -- and that was mainly people dying from RUSSIAN land-mines

The number of deaths among the civilian population, which the “ombudsman” of the DPR cites in his reports, in recent years show only isolated cases of local populations’ deaths. In 2017, the number civilian casualties were 32, in 2018 – 19, in 2019 – 9, and in 2020 – 5 people. As these statistics attest, even official bodies of the self-proclaimed republics do not confirm the “mass destruction of the civilian population of the republics by Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Keeping this in mind, you really should rethink your "swear off abuse of Russian speakers,.."
