And, like I said, with congress being so tight with the numbers, it might as well have been a democrat congress. Got it?

However, Trump got things done, with a democrat congress and a republican congress. Republicans were weak, which is why democrats won the house again during Trump's years. Got it?

It's a wonder that Trump got so much done with so many opposing him, from the left and the right. What he got done is a credit to him and not to the brief republican control at the beginning of his presidency. Got it???

It's very,very doubtful that DeSantis would have been able to get 1/3 of what Trump did, even if DeSantis had friends in congress.

So, am I wrong? Heck no! I can't admit being wrong, because, I'm completely right, and you can't understand the logic behind my arguments.

DeSantis? I like him, but he can't even come close to being a Trump-like president.

How tight?
U.S. Senate started out 2017 with a 52-48 margin (GOP majority) and ended 2018 with a 52-47 margin (counting the 2 communist independents in the Democrat total) (plus the GOP VP to break any ties)

U.S. House of Reps started out 2017 with a 241-194 margin (GOP majority) and ended 2018 with a 236-196 margin (GOP majority)

At the best you’re incorrect. At the worst you’re living a fantasyland of willful self-delusion.

A margin of at least 40 votes in the House is way more than plenty to get lots of things done. And a four-vote margin in the Senate, while prey to the whims of the then-senators from Alaska and South Carolina and Maine, is still quite workable.

About the only bill enacted and signed that was worth anything was the tax cut and reform act of 2017

so again — you’re wrong. and now you’re twice wrong.
