Better he fights Trump. If he stands up to him the democrat nominee will be a cakewalk. My hope is that the face-off will be Newsom/DeSantis.
As for DeSantis having it easy with a GOP legislature I have a feeling the next congress will be GOP-both houses.

I can vote for Trump or DeSantis either way. Pence seems as if he has devolved to be as stupid, flatfooted, and unaware as Romney and that is saying a lot.
Ron needs to stick with a job he is qualified for; governor of Fl. He is not ready for prime time, that’ll come in 2028.
