Former President Donald Trump went scorched earth on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis after he weighed in on his potential indictment in the Stormy Daniels case brought by prosecutors in New York.
Trump, in a post on Truth Social, raised questions about DeSantis’s sexuality and once again peddled his groomer smear against the Florida Republican who is seen as a potential presidential candidate in 2024.
“Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he’s unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are “underage” (or possibly a man!),” Trump seethed. ‘I’m sure he will want to fight these misfits just like I do!”
Trump also included a picture from an article suggesting the worst about DeSantis’s conduct with “underage” young people.
Trump’s scorched earth remarks came hours after DeSantis made snide comments about the former president while addressing the possibility Trump will be indicted this week over the Stormy Daniels hush money scandal.
“I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star or to secure silence over some time of alleged affair. I just – I can’t speak to that,” DeSantis told reporters on Monday. “But what I can speak is that you have a prosecutor who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction and he chooses to go back many, many years ago to try to use something about porn star hush money payments. You know, that’s an example of pursuing a political agenda.” **/

Interesting story about Trump. If true, I’m stunned.
Trump may be the absolute greatest president the US will see in 100 years. First they steal the election,now they smear and smear and smear, and people like you jump on the bandwagon.
The only chance this country has to survive the destruction that we are presently witnessing is Pres. Trump. We should not let the left do this to us.
Yes, we see some great young candidates coming down the pike but they get compromised along the way (look at Pence) and they are rendered completely ineffectual, and when push comes to shove, they do the “deep state’s” bidding.
I hope Pres. Trump, despite his flaws, does win the nomination and does win although I suspect that fraud will win the day again.
Don’t neutralize this great man. He has flaws, agreed, but so do all of them. And Pres. Trump’s flaws are on the surface where everybody can see them. We know what we are getting, and we know if somehow Trump can overcome the fraud this time around, we will get a great president again because he has already proven himself.

The more people learn about DeSantis, the less harshly they will judge Trump.
Your interpretation of Trump’s statement is exactly what anyone here should know easily. I don’t know what has happened to FR, but it hasn’t to me. I don’t ask Trump to be polite or non-combative, I just want him to lead and save my country, I want him free and alive to do it. I want to vote for him for the third time when I’m 84.
DeSantis’s time may come later, after Trump and I are gone. If he’s worth it then.

Yeah, but it comes off as more a case of him spraying his scent all over the place and marking the entire nation as “his territory”. I think he needs to be spayed...lol.

DeSantis is alienating me more and more every day. There was no reason to play games over the allegations against Trump. He clearly tried to smear the frontrunner to score some cheap political points.
DeSantis can’t legally run for president unless he resigns as governor. It would be completely selfish for him to do this, but it appears he is going to. He will not get elected president if he does, but he may build a massive political war chest while throwing away the governorship and any chance of being president. He may also damage Trump’s campaign, which is probably where a lot of his support comes from.
DeSantis should have been positioning himself for a future presidency. He might have made a good VP pick for Trump at one point. It’s probably already too late.
