Former President Donald Trump went scorched earth on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis after he weighed in on his potential indictment in the Stormy Daniels case brought by prosecutors in New York.
Trump, in a post on Truth Social, raised questions about DeSantis’s sexuality and once again peddled his groomer smear against the Florida Republican who is seen as a potential presidential candidate in 2024.
“Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he’s unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are “underage” (or possibly a man!),” Trump seethed. ‘I’m sure he will want to fight these misfits just like I do!”
Trump also included a picture from an article suggesting the worst about DeSantis’s conduct with “underage” young people.
Trump’s scorched earth remarks came hours after DeSantis made snide comments about the former president while addressing the possibility Trump will be indicted this week over the Stormy Daniels hush money scandal.
“I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star or to secure silence over some time of alleged affair. I just – I can’t speak to that,” DeSantis told reporters on Monday. “But what I can speak is that you have a prosecutor who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction and he chooses to go back many, many years ago to try to use something about porn star hush money payments. You know, that’s an example of pursuing a political agenda.” **/

Well considering that Trump called Desantis a groomer first, the response from Desantis was pretty mild. Why do all Trump supporters think it is ok for Trump to slander opponents but believe that for them to respond even slightly is unthinkable?

It sure didn’t take much to trigger trump.
I read Trump’s comment as “here is what the Democraps will accuse you of” rather than him making the accusation. Although I think it would have been better had President Trump not said it at all.
As of today, I’m voting for DeSantis in the primary if he runs. If Trump wins the nomination I will vote for him over whatever stiff the Dems nominate, but I’m tired of his antics. Trump is patriot, but he has poor judgement. His unprovoked attacks on DeSantis ring hollow and only make him look petty, insecure, selfish and weak. Why did Trump expect DeSantis to back him after slandering DeSantis for the last several months? And DeSantis did support him in this current judicial travesty, but makes one joke at Trump’s expense and Trump loses his mind.

I’ve just seen a video of Trump accusing DeSantis of wanting to cut/destroy Social Security & Medicare. This is how he deals with a fellow GOPer? Looks more like he’s working for the Democrat side to me....as he parrots the lies the rats tell about GOP candidates.
Convince me otherwise, because I’m starting to wonder if we’re not getting set up for the ultimate back-stab.

I feel the same way. He lost me the last time I heard him still praising the “wonderful vaccine” and taking credit for it.

Evidently. But it was hush money which the Trump organization obviously thought it was worth paying off the woman rather than let her try to blow up his election. I see nothing wrong with that. That kind of legal blackmail happens daily in the United States.
I remember a businessman being sued in Houston for $10,000. The lawyers got together and told the guy he stood no chance in court. Yes, he agreed, but “legal fees will cost you more than that.” They paid the man off.
DeSantis brought up the language twice in one breath. If he had stopped after his initial take on the coming event, he would have been statesman like. But he picked up the slanderous language and happily wallowed in the slop, despite DeSantis-bots claiming he was so high and mighty and noble and pure and would not deign to stoop to such tactics.
So the answer is yes.
Ok the sympathy and support for Trump I had gained the past three days just disappeared after this $hit he just said.
