“Did he pay hush money and was she a porn star???”

Evidently. But it was hush money which the Trump organization obviously thought it was worth paying off the woman rather than let her try to blow up his election. I see nothing wrong with that. That kind of legal blackmail happens daily in the United States.

I remember a businessman being sued in Houston for $10,000. The lawyers got together and told the guy he stood no chance in court. Yes, he agreed, but “legal fees will cost you more than that.” They paid the man off.

DeSantis brought up the language twice in one breath. If he had stopped after his initial take on the coming event, he would have been statesman like. But he picked up the slanderous language and happily wallowed in the slop, despite DeSantis-bots claiming he was so high and mighty and noble and pure and would not deign to stoop to such tactics.

“Did he pay hush money and was she a porn star???”

From all accounts she received hush money and acted in pornographic films.

The remarks DeSantis made today were clever and reminiscent of the type of comment Trump might have made in 2016 or even Rush Limbaugh would make from time to time on his show. Factually correct and damning. DeSantis pointed out the obvious that he has no experience with hush payments to porn actresses. He also questioned and criticized the weaponization of the law by the prosecutor.

Lest anyone forget Trump is a grown man responsible for his own actions. If he was associating with a porn actress, and having the corrupt attorney he hired pay the porn actress hush money, it is no ones fault but his own.

It may be the prosecutor is biased against Trump and has been using prosecutorial discretion to investigate and harass Trump. This may or may not be “fair” but it is legal. Rightly or wrongly our system gives prosecutors tremendous discretion. Lest we forget during the 2016 election Trump played poltics by telling crowds if elected as president he would direct the DOJ to investigate and prosecute Hillary Clinton. Once elected once again used his discretion not to push for her prosecution.

The assertion Trump had a sexual relationship with Stormy Daniels is unproven and irrelevant. What we do know is he had some kind of relationship with the porn actress, and whatever happened in that relationship made him vulnerable to extortion. If he had not engaged in some kind of relationship with a woman he knew was a porn star, there would have been no extortion, no hush payments and no possibility of a grand jury indictment for the payment. Ultimately, Trump owns his behavior, as DeStantis implied today’s remarks. When you play with fire, you take the risk of being burned.
