If you are listening to today’s street interview/press availability with Giuliani’s lawyer Costello, during which he discussed his time before the members of the Grand Jury, the attorneys were characteristically trying to stifle Costello, while Costello, who was asked by Trump to make himself available to be interviewed before the Grand Jury, together with four inches of documents he assembled in chronological order relating to his early representation of Cohen, was trying to get the things he knows are true, and the things he personally thinks are relevant, on the record and before the jurors.
Not for nothing, but Costello, himself obviously an attorney for decades, and presumably successful, seems exasperated at the fact that prosecutors appear to him to be trying to throttle the truth in its crib.
Like the snake Trump is fond of talking about: That’s what Grand Jury prosecutors do! Why is he surprised? That said, damned if he doesn’t sound sincere and a fair bit pissed off that, at this late date, with Cohen already having served jail time for perjury, Cohen’s testimony is being given even the slightest attention by attorneys or jurors, or being accorded, by those same people, any weight or credibility at all.

Right. That’s the circumstance that many point to, to explain why they think that Pelosi knew the guy and did not feel threatened by him. Otherwise, as soon as the cops arrived, he would have bolted out the door and past the cops, to put the cops between himself and the guy, thereby putting himself out of harm’s way.
I don’t see it that way. IMHO, Pelosi was in an extremely high state of fear and was simply not thinking perfectly well, causing him to fail to run away during that span of a few seconds when he had the opportunity. And, immediately thereafter, he got horrifically bashed by a hammer.
He seemed surprised and that surprised me.
The dude went into the belly of the beast. How could he be naive enough to be surprised that those prosecutors are trying to shape and mold what the jurors are being exposed to, including blocking their access to various relevant aspects of the truth? Both on the basis of grand jury procedure (my point), and because they are horrifically corrupt and brutally partisan (your point).
NBC pulled the story because “it didn’t meet their standards.” Paul Pelosi seems to get special treatment from the highway patrol. I don’t trust NBC.
