Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis slammed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on Monday as a "Soros-funded prosecutor" who is "pursuing a political agenda and weaponizing the office" as he reportedly considers indicting former President Donald Trump on charges related to alleged hush-money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
"And so you're talking about this situation with, and like, I don't know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair — I just I can't speak to that," DeSantis said.
"But what I can speak to is that if you have a prosecutor who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction, and he chooses to go back many, many years ago to try to use something about porn star hush-money payments, you know, that's an example of pursuing a political agenda and weaponizing the office," DeSantis said. "And I think that that's fundamentally wrong."

I think the point is that DeSantis is going to be accused of something inappropriate with underage girls based on his pictures with them as a young teacher. There was underage drinking involved.
I doubt DeSantis committed statutory rape, but I think he was not careful about boundaries.
Does anyone believe for one moment that there aren’t agents right now offering cash to any of these young women who can remember anything DeSantis did that was inappropriate?
With Trump, everyone knows what they get. Best president in my lifetime.
With DeSantis, it’s a gamble. He has not been fully vetted.
Really, you deny that he wrote "The Art of the Deal" where he made those remarks about having affairs with married women? Or do you believe Trump was lying in the book? If so, do you approve of the crude remarks?
In The Art of the Deal, Trump boasted about bedding other men’s wives. “If I told the real stories of my experiences with women, often seemingly very happily married and important women, this book would be a guaranteed best-seller,” he wrote.
Do you also believe he was lying to Howard Stern when he claimed he did go into the Miss Universe / Miss USA changing rooms? Even if so, do you approve of the crude remarks?
In one 2005 recording, Trump discusses his time as the owner of the Miss Universe pageant. Asked whether he had ever had sex with a contestant, Trump at first said he would “never comment on things like that.” Later, when Stern asked whether he would turn down a Miss Universe candidate asking to have sex with him, Trump said, “I don’t want to hurt their feelings.” Trump later went on to admit that “it could be a conflict of interest,” but that “what you could say is that, as the owner of the pageant, it’s your obligation to do that.” Trump added that sometimes, because he was the owner, he would go backstage while contestants were naked or getting dressed. “I’ll tell you the funniest is that I’ll go backstage before a show and everyone’s getting dressed,” Trump said. “No men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in, because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it…. ‘Is everyone OK’? You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody OK?’ And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.” Other discussions on the Stern show involved Trump confirming that he’d had threesomes and that he was open to having sex with women while they were menstruating. When he was asked if he’d had sex with a black woman, he responded: “Well, it depends on what your definition of black is.” Trump also spoke about his daughter, Ivanka, on the show. In an interview from 2004, Stern commented to Trump about Ivanka: “Can I say this? A piece of a**,” Stern says. “Yeah,” Trump says. “Boy, I would back up the Brinks truck,” Stern went on. Trump noted that she was “a very successful model.” When Stern asked in 2006 about whether his daughter had breast implants, Trump said of the then-24-year-old Ivanka that “she’s actually always been very voluptuous...She’s tall, she’s almost 6 feet tall and she’s been, she’s an amazing beauty.” Also in 2006, Stern asked Trump whether he could “now be banging 24-year-olds?” “Oh absolutely,” Trump said. “I’d have no problem.”
Plenty more where that came from, of course. You want to relitigate all of this stuff by claiming Trump is a vision of sexual purity and falsely attack others?
By the way, there is no such thing as "President Trump's Truth" or anyone else's "truth." There is simply the truth. That is a fundamental thing to know when pursuing reality. But apparently you adhere to the Leftist rage against reality that there is a such thing as individual "truth" people posses of their own making. That is not reality.
I'll of course vote for him as I have before if he is the nominee - that's a no brainer over what we have now. But elevating him as a beacon of moral virtue? No.
Doubtful. This stuff was amplified on Twitter. That's where they saw it.
Says who? You?
Candidates often run for higher office while keeping their day jobs. George W. Bush, John McCain, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton as just a few recent examples.
Just because you're butthurt over it doesn't mean Governor DeSantis is obliged to salve your rash.
Ignorance should hurt, but sometimes the amusement is sufficient.
