A federal judge ruled against the Biden administration’s efforts to dismiss a case involving online censorship Monday, saying that the states of Missouri and Louisiana had “plausibly alleged” First Amendment violations.
United States District Judge Terry A. Doughty of the Western District of Louisiana denied the Biden administration’s motion to dismiss a suit brought on May 5 by Republican Attorneys General Erik Schmitt of Missouri and Jeff Landry of Louisiana. Schmitt and Landry said the Biden administration colluded with social media companies to censor debate on multiple issues, including the 2020 presidential election and the COVID-19 pandemic.

So what’s the punishment if this is confirmed and they are found guilty?
He signed an agreement, prior to accepting his plea bargain. Buried in the fine print was a portion which indicated the government may have exculpatory evidence which it had yet to disclose, and waiving that issue was part of the plea bargain. The only possibility he (the viking guy) has of getting out of jail, is having the agreement voided by the court because his counsel ineffectively represented him. It is an extremely difficult thing to prove.
Civil damages. Whatever amount of money you can convince a jury to award you. Probably enough to put them all in the poorhouse. Gigure several mil, as there will likely be punitive damages imposed.
MAY have???
Them personally or the Gov’t just prints more money to pay it?
Corrupt and unconstitutional policies.
Indeed some judges understand what the democrats have in mind for the courts the central committee will take charge of them.
Slow down there hot rod. The case has not gone to court yet. For the judge to imply otherwise would force him to reuse from the case.
This is a win. At least the judge did not say that the AGs lack standing as is generally the case.

Hubby and I discuss that issue often. There is no punishment for a government employee or politician who violates a person’s constitutional rights. Any finding by the Court that a violation has occurred may result in a fine or a reversal of a law, but the person themselves never suffer from the harm they cause. Any fine is paid by the taxpayers and the offenders are free to continue with their unlawful actions.
We need personal responsibility for those in government that violate a person’s Constitutional rights.
Wasn’t this $#!& going on during the Trump administration? Seems we remember Faucu and others were doing this. Heck, the secret channels into “soycial meateater companies” available to the FBI were running before 2021.
May have must be judge speak for he’s guilty as hell.
Absolutely no question the federal government committed numerous violations of the first amendment. They had no business whatsoever telling any companies who to ban, censor, etc.
Jim, Sadly I believe that you are 100% correct.....
